Declan Sinclair is a Highlander who believes his dreams never lie. When he spots Caya at a public house, he knows instantly she is the woman in his dreams - his future wife. Though her brother had promised never to gamble again, he engages Declan in a card game - and the prize is the lovely Caya.

good story
absolutely love the War Cry. even made my husband laugh. good story line. female character was somewhat lacking self strength but was an interesting person

Lots of drama, innocent love.
Enjoyed the development of slow awareness of love with the uncertain innocent emotions. The suspiciousness of the ignorant pleasant.

Better than book 1 of the series
I enjoy this book better than book 1. it was much less predictable and had 1 maybe 2 frustrating moments as opposed to a chapter or more in book 1.
the narrator is not the worst I've heard but not the best either. hoping book 3 improves on both book 1 and 2.

Tedious
The information about this book made it sound really interesting, with quite a different plot line, and it could have been a great story but I found both the writing and the narration VERY tedious and I struggled to finish it. The narrator really does not do male voices well, making the the ‘hero’ of the story sound awful.
