Story
It has been 20 years since the end of the war. The dictatorial Augurs - once thought of almost as gods - were overthrown and wiped out during the conflict, their much-feared powers mysteriously failing them. Those who had ruled under them, men and women with a lesser ability known as the Gift, avoided the Augurs' fate only by submitting themselves to the rebellion's Four Tenets.

Story
Warbreaker is the story of two sisters, who happen to be princesses, the god king one of them has to marry, the lesser god who doesn’t like his job, and the immortal who’s still trying to undo the mistakes he made hundreds of years ago. Their world is one in which those who die in glory return as gods to live confined to a pantheon in Hallandren’s capital city and where a power known as BioChromatic magic is based on an essence known as breath that can only be collected one unit at a time from individual people.

Great content marred by poor reading
Great stories cursed by Kate Readings constant abrupt and unnecessary inflections complete with even more unnecessary and annoying pauses ruined this for me. I'm very surprised not to see more reviews critiquing this and hope there's an alternative to her readings available at some point as I'm a huge Brandon Sanderson fan.

Great collection
I originally picked this book up to hear edgedancer, as book 3 of the stormlight archive recommended I listen to it first. I'm glad it was at the end of the collection, because it spurred me to listen to the other cosmere stories. They vary in quality, but are generally great. The voiceover is, as always, fantastic too.
I highly recommend this, but only if you have read a lot of Sanderson's Cosmere related books.

Why does the cover only credit Michael Kramer?
More wonderful stories from Sanderson and so well performed by both Michael and Kate. Kate deserves some cover credit too!

Impossible to find a separate story to listen to as no titles in chapter list
No chapter titles mean you can’t select a short story to listen to- potentially exposing yourself to spoilers of other series if you want to read them canonically.

Irritating performance and functionality
Incredibly frustrating that the chapters aren’t labelled. I find Kate Readings narrating style a bit hard to listen to. Her sentences seem to have a very noticeable upward or downward inflection.
