Cayson is in love with Skye Preston, his best friend for over 20 years. They grew up together, bathed together, and spent every holiday together. Hoarding the secret hasn't been easy. Every time Cayson sees her with a boyfriend, he wants to smash his fist into a wall.
But he could never tell her the truth.
The close friendship they have is too good to be ruined. If he confessed his deepest feelings, how would it change what they have? Would he lose her altogether?
But everything changes when Cayson finds Skye at a party, drunk and incoherent. Unable to stand on her own two feet, with breath reeking of alcohol, she's easy prey for the men staring at her noticeable chest. Cayson immediately scoops her into his arms and takes her home. But when they arrive at the house, Skye doesn't want to sleep. Instead, she wants Cayson in a way she never has before.
What will this mean for their relationship? Is it the start of something Cayson has always dreamed of? Or will it be the end?
Author's note: This audiobook does not end with a cliffhanger.

I liked the story, best friends falling in love. Very sweet, but it had some issues. The characters are a bit too "perfect", especially Cason, but I could overlook that. It piles up though... The "family" feels very clanish. At points it felt like a mafia family. I'm not a feminist and I enjoy chivalry and dominant males in a good romance, but this was all about the dads being in control over everyone else, and I didnt find it sexy or even romantic... just overbearing. I enjoyed the story, but I don't see myself continuing the series. The narrators were ok, but Fauna should work on her voices, or stick to her own. The male voices she attempted distracted from the story.

Story was fun and sweet. The dynamic between the characters I loved. The family vibe is one you don’t get in a lot of books of this genre. The Male narrator was good. The female was ok performing the female voices but really butchered the male voice . She made them all sound like dopey losers or Stoners and it was really hard to picture them as strong handsome men. Despite that, the story kept me going. I may read the rest of the series because this book was sweet and funny and the synopsis on the next book has me wondering, but I don’t know if I can manage the female audio through 4 more books. Will try if the books end up in romance package.
I admit I struggled the first time I attempted to read this, being that I've read so many books in this genre and am not a YA...I found it hard to relate to the first time, but I really wanted to give it a chance and got hooked! I love the main male character, you don't see too many of his kind in these types of books and it was refreshing! Not that I don't love a hot steamy romance, but it was a nice wholesome change!
There were too many characters for only two narrators. I almost stopped listening because they sounded like junior high students not college aged students
While I think the story was ok, the individual who voiced Skye was horrific!!!! It was painful to listen to her.
female narrator not good- particularly annoying when saying the male lines. Her narration annoyed me so badly that I gave up listening and read on Kindle.
Storyline a bit like a teeny bopper book.
A sweet yet frustrating best friends tell lover book. Kasem Sky grew up together and they were best friends. Kasem always loves Sky it took Sky awhile two understand that deep down she loved case into more than just a friend. This was told in a sense where you could tell it was college kids yet it still was very appealing. All the supporting characters with her family family members were very entertaining. I've liked the lesson of the story and in the end I actually felt bad for Jasmine. although I can't say that I'm not happy for sky and Kasem. It was a very very cute story and I plan on continuing with the rest of the series.
While I thoroughly loved & enjoyed the story and Nick Russo's narration the narration by Fauna Nyx leaves much to be desired.
E.L. Todd you are gifted but next time think twice about who you select to narrate.
