Not the story just behind the scenes of movie
So disappointed with this purchase, I thought it was the book on the film but instead its more of an early access to what you'll expect on the DVD/Bluray release with behind the scenes and interview to cast/crew of film only different is you'll get the movie and visual magic rather than paying the full price for an audio book just to listen to it.
Will be very hesitant to buy audio books on new films in future.

NOT A BOOK!
What a disappointment! Maybe I didn't read thoroughly the description; maybe I bought too quickly; maybe I simply assumed too much! Still, explain how one "tours behind the scenes" AUDIBLY??? This MAY WELL BE an amazing VIDEO special about the making of this 2nd 'Fantastic Beasts ' movie... But I found it gravely lacking as an AUDIO presentation. It felt like I was listening to a montage of the 'extras' one gets when purchasing a DVD... Who thought this would retail well as an AUDIBLE???? 1. I was honestly expecting a book version of the story... My mistake! 2. I found the narrator too cheeky, too animated for an audio rendition. His verbal 'schtick' was often hard to track and overplayed. 3. Often, the person speaking was not identified; and while I certainly recognize David Yates' name, his voice is not one I readily recognize without minimal introduction, even repeatedly (sorry, David). 4. Lastly, Ms. Rowling has certainly learned her way around the entertainment industry; so much so, that the very thing that drew us to her writings has been eliminated! The elaborate character development and interpersonal relationships she weaved so well... which thoroughly pulled us into the 'wizarding world' -- has been eliminated for a fast track to the big screen! At least her play, The Cursed Child, was given to us as a screenplay... Yet, that was a verbatim script with some stage direction side notes. 'Beasts' just went straight to the Red Carpet! I enjoy the adaptations, the movies... But I wanted a book! I wanted more of what J.K. Rowling built her repression on: in-depth character development!!! Instead I got ONLY THE AUDIO of a 'behind the scenes' television special and I feel cheated. Counting this month's Audible Credit as wasted. I heartily suggest you listen to a sample before you buy.... I preordered ----- a mistake I'll not soon forget.

Read the reviews. Know before you buy!💖
I read before purchasing the book. I did, and it saved the day! This is NOT the novel I wanted. This IS an entertaining look behind the scenes. All the complaints were valid, unless you actually wanted an entertaining behind the scenes look. Ok, Mr Foglers’ voice becomes a bit tiresome at times, as is the long wait between chapters. But, I enjoyed it overall! Now where is the Novel??!!

Great content, strange editing choices
The content was mostly interesting! I loved hearing all the background info about the costumes and major props used in the film. I did not like the longer pauses in the audiobook, where there were stretches of music between Dan's commentary. I also did not like the lower toned music used in certain parts, like in ch8 I think it was, when talking about Grindelwald. The lower toned background music is distracting especially since I listen on headphones, so I have it cranked up to hear the voices clearly, and the lower toned background music was overwhelming.

It's Really Not Bad!
I almost didn't get this based on the reviews. Dan Fogler was a little obnoxious, but didn't ruin it, and I thought the music was wonderful. Exactly as the description states, "A Behind the Scenes Documentary". It was informative, and I had to go back and watch the movie again.

Waste of time
This is not the actual book by JKR, it's a hobbled together piece from the marketing department about the movie. I see it has an overall rating of 2 stars which seems very generous.

Summary of movie?!?
Feeling a bit duped with this one. Not a summary of the story, but rather an “inside Hollywood” broadcast of the film. How did I actually pay for this elongated commercial? Very poor and false advertising from Audibles as to what this actually contained. Such a waste of money.

Nice companion to the film - how it was made
Enjoyed lots. Something a little different as it’s in audio. To all those giving one star and complaining it’s not an audio book. May I suggest you read the title (and description) before purchasing.

Magic of the behind the scenes
I love and will always love these kind of book-documentaries and especially when they are so greatly told and presented. I knew what I was getting myself into and I enjoyed every second of it. Loved the way Dan Fogler read it - it was so fun and entertaining, and how the cast and crew where involved in it, as well. It made me appreciate the work done behind the scenes so much more - it is awe-inspiring, especially considering all of the work prop masters, costume designers etc. There are so many geniuses working for the movie to be made for the audiences to see on the cinema screen - that I personally wanted to pay respect to them and say a big "thank you" for their craftswork! And for me - listening to this audio-book - it was just that! THANK YOU! :)
P.s. Please do not take it personally, but I really do not understand the people who thought it was the actual screenplay of the movie (I guess there are people going in blindly without reading the summary, yet the risk did not pay off?).

Rubbish
Very disappointed pottermore. I was expecting an interesting read but it was just someone talking about his job for 5 hours with a £25 price tag on it.

Wonderful documentary for any Wizarding fan
I've read the reviews from other people who have bought the audio book and am very very surprised that they've slated it. How much clearer could the title be - it clearly states this is behind the scenes documentary and an insight into how a global phenomena film is put together. Those disappointed really should have paid more attention to the title and description. If it was the screen play, that would have been stated.
Anyway onto my review of the documentary. Wow, what an absolute joy, hearing from various different departments and how the departments work painstakingly together to create the utterly spell binding world our beloved author has created.
I didn't even know alot of those departments existed, let alone what they do - the vehicle department!!!!!! For an out and out Wizarding world/Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts fan, this was utter joy.
Dan Fogler was superb and cheeky and funny.
It was wonderful that unknown people who work within the industry got a small voice and you heard from everyday people who are involved, construction workers, plasterers, transport assistants, etc etc etc. Its extraordinary to realise that some of these talented people have been involved in this franchise for over 20 years and thats the span of their career todate. Its been going for 20yrs and this is the only job they've done. Love it.
Thank you Pottermore for an exciting insight and offering an alternative way to learn more behind the scene details.
Would strongly recommend to any fan who wants to know more.

Behind the magic!
I love listening and watching to behind the scenes of movies, especially the HP and FB franchise & this did not disappoint, especially after just watching the new film just last night!! And to the people complaining that it’s not the story? Should have read the description first and you would have known before purchasing that is was a behind the scenes audible not the actual screenplay 🙄.

ENCHANTING!
I thoroughly enjoyed this from start to finish and I hoped it would last longer! What an amazing insight into this film (I haven’t actually seen it but now I’m going to) It was just enchanting and I loved the documentary elements.

Fantastic glance behind the scenes.
I admit, this was my first dip into this world. I only downloaded it after seeing the trailer in the cinema. I don’t watch TV, so it’s very existence completely bypassed me. (I do, in fact, live under a rock) Once I realised that there is a first part, I paused listening and bought the movie on iTunes. That was me hooked. I have watched it twice since and being familiar with the characters made this book a joy to listen to. Fabulously told by the winsome Jacob himself. This book really shows just how much incredible work and the immense detail goes into such a phenomenal production. If you, like me, have a life for what goes on behind the scenes, this book is for you.

Fascinating
A really great behind the scenes which I didn't think would be possible with audio only.
There's no spoilers if you have seen all the trailers but it expands on back stories quite a bit which helps you understand the movie more.
Great to hear the interviews with the cast and all the people working at the studios.

Fantastic
Great look/listen at the making this film. Loved Jacobs narrative bringing this to life I had read other reviews saying this audiobook was not so great! But I've thoroughly enjoyed it and will listen again
