Familjen von Hansen ska få en hund! Anton och Viktoria är överlyckliga och pappa ser sin chans att få lite motion. Familjen åker till ett hundinternat och faller pladask för Olle, en fin hund som tyvärr är svår att uppfostra: Han kan varken sitta, ge tass eller rulla runt. Å andra sidan kan han gräva hål i trädgården och öppna dörrar. Han gillar också att tugga på mammas väska. Att ha hund kräver mycket mer arbete än Anton och Viktoria trodde. Dorte Roholte (f. 1958) har skrivit en lång rad barn- och ungdomsböcker samt böcker för vuxna. Hon debuterade 1991 med novellsamlingen Nye omgivelser och har därefter gett ut ett flertal böcker i olika genrer.
