Publisher's Summary

The thesis of this audiobook is that the Antichrist will attempt to present himself as the Jewish Messiah, and that he will try his best to appear as if he is instituting what Jewish believers know as the Messianic Age and what Christians know as the Millennial reign.

This audiobook attempts to show that much of what we know about the Antichrist, such as his destruction of the enemies of Israel in Daniel 11:40-45, his seven-year covenant, his rebuilding of the temple and starting the daily sacrifice, his eventual stopping of the sacrifices and sitting in the temple to accept worship, his making Jerusalem the capital of the world, even his promotion by the False Prophet (which this audiobook argues, claims to be Elijah) all points to the conclusion that his goal is to deceive the world into believing that the Messiah has come, that the Messiah is in fact God, and that he deserves the worship of the world. This audiobook will argue for this view in great detail and give special attention to objections to it.

This audiobook also argues that the little-known eschatological (end-time) beliefs of the Jewish theologians, according to the Talmud and other rabbinic writings, seem to encourage Jews to accept as Messiah a man with the exact characteristics of the Antichrist. Similarly, that Islamic beliefs about the end times, as related in the Quran and the hadiths (the sayings of Muhammad), will cause them to play a very important role in the Antichrist's rise to power.

Though this view is the earliest view of the church, it has been almost totally forgotten in recent years. If it is true, it would mean the deception of Satan in the end times will be far more potent than many of us have ever imagined.

exceptional quality

This book changed the way I view the holy bible. Thank you Chris White. I've Read Genesis to revelation and studied vigorously but the information contained here anihilated all my previous misconceptions.
I used to consider bible prophecy a topic which can not be learned independently, and therefore relied on the teachings of others, but this book has given me enough oversight over bible prophecy so I would be able to conduct my own independent studies with confidence.

the Study of Eschatology

Eschatology* is the study of "end times", specifically as it relates to the Bible and world events.

*This book is for those who have a serious interest in this subject only.

The title lets us know that his major point of study for this book, is the nature and origin of the "anti-Christ". This "person's" identity has been the subject of the three Abrahamic religions, and is frequently mentioned in the eschatological texts of all three's sacred scriptures.

Chris White is well-read in the field of eschatology. He has a bible study podcast which examines various issues surrounding the bible, with an emphasis on biblical "end-times". (I believe his career occupation however, is that of an Attorney at Law. This is evidenced by the compelling arguments he is able to make, and his clear presentation of facts, and separating speculations for examination.)

He understands most of the major arguments about biblical prophecy, and states them in a clear and concise manner. He presents his views in comparison and contrast to the other most commonly held views, and then explains why he feels his position is better. He creates compelling arguments, underscored by biblical supports.

Reformed Study of Biblical Prophecy

Would you listen to False Christ: Will the Antichrist Claim to Be the Jewish Messiah? again? Why?

Absolutely. There are so many details, citations and quotes from various sources as well as the Bible, that one listen is simply not enough to absorb all of the depth included in this book.

What did you like best about this story?

The plausibility and the way it answers to so many confusing and often times, what appear to be irrelevant Biblical passages.

Have you listened to any of Chris White’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

While this is the first Audiobook on Audible by Chris White, he has been producing narration driven videos for years. This one by far is the most high quality both in delivery and content.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I think the tagline is in the title. But if I had to choose:

"A Fresh New Look at the Identity of the Antichrist"

Any additional comments?

Chris has done a marvelous job of working against the conventionally accepted pop views of many interpretations concerning Biblical prophecy to show that from a Biblical perspective, his view is sound and consistent. While many will be unable to accept the views presented in this book outright, a fair hearing of the evidence will cause any skeptic of this view to reconsider their position.

We have to remember that any time we are making speculative projections of how the world will turn out, especially concerning the things revealed to us through prophecy, we ought to keep an open mind and consider all possibilities. After all, the way in which the end of the age will unfold is not based upon our terms, but on His!

A Fresh Perspective on the Antichrist

So many today call every new US President or every Middle East the Antichrist. Mr. White's perspective, that the Antichrist will really be someone claiming to be Jesus and eventually God, seems most plausible to me. I have read books on the Islamic Antichrist theory and found them interesting but not plausible simply because most Christians and Jews would not accept a Muslim as their Messiah. But what if the person was of Jewish decent, performed all of the actions of Jesus in the latter days and appeared as the Messiah? The book also discusses the falsehood of the pretribulation rapture, something I have always believed would cause many to fall into the snare of the Antichrist. Mr. White's references to Scripture and ability to not just pull verses but entire chapters into his theory make me a firm believer that the Antichrist will indeed be someone the majority of Christians and Jews follow blindly in the end.

Chris is simplistic sounding but not simplistic.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Stone

Which character – as performed by Chris White – was your favorite?

Christ

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I'm convinced by his argument that Daniel 2 stands on it's own and Daniel 7 is about Eschatology...

Any additional comments?

Chris, where are you? You left the planet. There are people like me who are just now finding out about you. Come back from wherever you are.

Love Chris White, where is he?

This was one of the most accurate renderings of the available prophecies on end times. Way better than Late Great Planet Earth.

Beat treatment of this subject

Chris did an outstanding job writing on this subject, a subject that is obscured by so many false assumptions and incorrect interpretations. He presents all views before presenting a clear, logical and scriptural explanation of the topic in focus.

I love Chris - but this is way off the mark

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

More research - This book supposes the Jews will accept a man claiming to be YHVH - did not happen the 1st time - won't happen today. Also supposes Jews will butcher Christians - no way!

Islam teaches that 2 great Muslim leaders will soon arise, (1) the Madhi, who will lead an army of 10 Arab nations (carrying black flags), to conquer the world for Islam, and (2) the returning Islamic Jesus.
Islamic Jesus will be re-born near Damascus and will claim himself Muslim. (Unlike Christian Jesus who will come in the clouds). Islamic Jesus will tell the world that the Crucifixion never happened, and will perform miracles on behalf of the Madhi. They will destroy the world economy, create a drought and famine on the earth. Islam teaches, the pair will then make a 7 year treaty with Israel and Rome. After 3.5 years the Madhi invades Israel, and will set his throne on the temple mount. Their army will carry the ‘black flags’ when he begins his world conquest. Islam teaches they will change the world calendar to the Islamic calendar. Islamic Jesus will then kill all swine on earth, and begin to pull all crosses off churches – converting Christians at sword point. Islam teaches he will next battle a Jewish leader who calls himself The Messiah at the temple mount, and then put all of Israel to the sword. Islam teaches that the trees in Israel (except the broom tree) will cry out to Muslims – see a Jew is hiding behind me, come and kill him. Sound familiar?

Any additional comments?

Islam and Islamic prophesy fits the Anti Christ as I posted above - NOT ISRAEL

An Interesting Theory

The narration is good and that always makes for an easy listen.

I disagree with the eschatology of the author, but he doesn’t bring it up much or try to force it on you. He presents his case and much, if not all, of his theories presented can fit into a pretrib view as well. Worth a listen or two if you dig eschatology.
