A story that is written like a film

Oh the story is a good story. And very exciting to read/listen to. I guess I’m a bit sick of American “are we not such wonderful brave humans” I sure this was written by an American it’s of how they continually write stories about how wonderful they are.

Predictable, cliche and overcooked

Great narration let down by weak and predictable story line. Nothing new here, just a large collection of mush mash taken from parts of other novels. Disappointing.

Fantastic, compulsive listening.

This story grabs you from the preface and doesn't let go until the end.

One minor niggle, this is one of those books that skips back and forth in time within chapters, maybe the printed book/ebook contained bullet points to signify the skip, I don't know, but a couple times I hadn't realised we'd skipped back in time or location etc until we'd been a bit into the section. It was frustrating but not enough of an issue to dock a star.

Very disappointed

This is a very average novel. The hype has been crazy (and obviously worked as I bought it expecting great things) the characters especially were pretty bad, I just didn't care about them at all, no big surprise in the plot and writing no better that average. No idea where all the hype came from, but do yourself a favour and ignore it.

Error

There is a problem with the audible - the sound goes off intermittently making it impossible to listen to ~ not work wasting a credit on this

I was expecting more, based on the hype

I was expecting more based on what I read on the press about this book. I was really looking forward to a good commercial aviation thriller but I guess we'll have to wait more. It's written begging for film rights. its characters are plain flat and its literary value is very low. Narration is equally mediocre and on-dimensional. I particularly disliked its spikes. Yelling because the text reads that the character yelled is not the way. Just when you are completely bored with the story and narration and almost fall asleep, suddenly they scream 'NOOOOOO' in your ear.

Fast paced but predictable

Eagerly wanted to listen to this book as it’s received rave reviews but I’ll be honest I was disappointed. It’s fast moving, edge of seat at points but hugely predictable

Really not good

An interesting plot premise that the author, sadly, doesn’t have the skill or desire to follow through with. It lacks the courage to follow its own logic, and has multiple significant plot holes. It’s also, in places, almost unbearably saccharine.

Edge of the seat stuff

Within minutes you are launched in to a tense gripping story. It's slick and efficient with narration that conveys the pace and atmosphere of the situation. Brilliant
