This was a slow burn book.

Emerson signs on as a bodyguard to Kyler's daughter. That quickly changes into fake dating.

This is unlike any other hockey romance I've read before in that there was little actual on ice hockey action or experiencing the absence of the away games.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible. The voice actor did a good job, although it was sometimes difficult to tell the difference between the characters with just one person doing the voices.

The narrator was stilted, so many disjointed and long pauses. It was painful to listen to.
The storyline itself was average. I mean she's jealous of a girl saying hello to the MMC in the first three chapters.

Very disappointed, disjointed story line, terrible main character’s and unbelievable human interaction both off and on the ice. Sexy scene s are rubbish. Truly unbelievable and this made it infuriating for me to listen to. For the writers to put in sooo much effort they really need a good editor.
