I found this book both a useful primer on SEO as well as an instruction manual for Facebook marketing of your product or business. Although I’ve done SEO in the past, it was good to get back up to speed, especially with how it works on Facebook. I especially liked the list of suggestions on how to keep engaging users. Often I forget about that part. I get things started fine, then I stare at the computer screen trying to decide what's next. This book provides a step-by-step guide on, not only setting up your page but all the "what next" parts afterward

This is not the best book nor the worst book on Fa

This is not the best book nor the worst book on Facebook Marketing. I would say it's geared more toward absolute beginners on Facebook. I found the first five chapters to be very simplistic. When she got into the subjects of event creation and competitions in chapter six the subject matter became for advanced, however, there is a lot more information the author could have added to make these sections more helpful, such as in her section about using third-party apps for competitions on Facebook. She only says why they're beneficial, no explanation of where to find them or how to use them. There were other places in the book that I noted gaps that could have been filled in more. The book could also use a good proofreader. As an editor, I have a trained eye for book discrepancies. There are several missed periods, inconsistencies in the capitalization of subheadings, comma errors, and missed words. If you're not a grammar nerd, it probably won't bother you, but there are a couple of places near the end of the book you may have to read twice to get the sense of due to the missed periods. If you're new to using Facebook, especially for marketing purposes this is an okay book to start with. I would have rated five stars if it hadn't been for the large number of errors and the lacking content under certain subjects.

If you are trying to find a way to either start or improve a Facebook business page, this is the book for you. The author does a great job not only explaining how to do this, but also things that people may not think of when trying to start or improve a Facebook business page. I learned how social media helps, it is important to understand the behavioral patterns of consumers, strategies to set up in order to get the most out of the search engine, how to back link, how to use competitions to gain more consumers, etc. The information provided was useful and easy to understand. I’m not really a tech savvy person, but I believe that I could start a Facebook business page with the help from this book.
