Publisher's Summary

A FREE story from Kevin Morris' upcoming book, White Man's Problems, narrated by Academy Award-winner Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyers Club, True Detective, Interstellar)

"How predictable and boring it was to be depressed. He’d heard about it, read about it, been warned about it, and now, right on schedule, he was living it. The source of the depression was no mystery, oldest one in the books…"Summer Farmer, the first short story in White Man's Problems, sets the stage for the honest and heartfelt themes explored in Morris' debut collection. The meeting of two disparate strangers serves as a cleverly crafted examination of the universality of longing, remorse, and purpose.

White Man's Problems is out 8/11/15, featuring stories read by Trey Parker and Matt Stone (South Park, The Book of Mormon), John McGinley (Scrubs), Josh Holloway (Lost), singer-songwriter Pete Yorn, Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting), Sarah Polley (The Sweet Hereafter), and Kevin Morris.

just ended abruptly

I love Matthew! Thumbs up on the narration. I don't know if I can consider this a real BOOK. It's free anyway so, no complain here. Quite good to listen to when driving. It just ended abruptly.

A relaxing and intense 18 minutes.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes, even though it's short. The narration is beautiful and the story itself contains a very simplistic yet relatable theme. There are also several quips that stood out from a linguistic perspective that made listening very enjoyable.

Would you be willing to try another book from Kevin Morris? Why or why not?

Yes but there are a lot of authors I favour.

Which character – as performed by Matthew McConaughey – was your favourite?

The Ethiopian Kiosk Attendant.

If this book were a film would you go see it?

It would be an incredibly short film, but sure.

Any additional comments?

It's free so why not give it a listen? I'm glad I did.

Tantalizing

Wonderful narration by Matthew McConaughhey and an intriguing story line, but SO frustrating because it finished so suddenly, and I would have loved it to have gone on! Hope this writer treats us to a complete novel .

Okay, thanks for the free taste.

It could be longer. I felt teased but then realized that it was an ad to buy the whole book. Okay, thanks for the free taste.

Hey Hey McConaughey!!

I could listen to Matthew McConaughey narrate a phone book, his voice is fantastic, that lovely southern drawl and the sssss sound he makes, ensures him as one of my most favourite voices...... Relaxing and calm.

Could I say anything about this book, sorry no, the voice was too distracting, which to me shows the story didn't come out over it. I have many voices I like to listen to, but this is the first time it's overwhelmed the story.

Now if he was narrating the John Grisham novels, I'd follow the story then!
