Publisher's Summary

Technologically there’s never been a better time to search for a new earth beyond our solar system.

Professor Danielle George examines exoplanets in the so-called habitable zone. Those that have liquid water. And maybe even life.

She wonders how we might be able to take the our first ever high resolution picture of an exoplanet using the microchips found in mobile phones. And she meets world-leading astrophysicists to ask if within our lifetimes humans might step foot on an earth-like planet.

Exoplanets

In 2013 I completed an introductory course in Astrobiology and the Search for Extraterrestrial Life through Coursera lectured by Professor Charles Cockell UK Centre For Astrobiology at the University of Edinburgh. I found the course very interesting and have joined several Astrobiology groups worldwide. Exoplanets: The Search for Another Earth is an excellent audiobook anyone interested in this field of science.

Good back ground noise.

Interesting but a bit repetitive unfortunately, would of been great with more interviews and info.

Good

Comments from scientist from around the world would have made this better, not just the anglo saxon community.

Good but too much music.

I liked the information and the interviews but I don't get why so many audible originals insist on playing so much music while people are talking... It's an educational audio book not a story. Would have rated higher otherwise.

Nice overview but,

I would have preferred a bit more discussion of the hard science behind all these amazing discoveries.

amazing

before this I had no idea about exoplanets. it's amazing to think of the possibilities of other life..... on the other hand, life is so fragile that it is also possible that we as humans are unique.....

Super cool

HI Clear and concise with expert interviews and non overly scientific discussions. The background music was welcome.

Ruined by incidental music alongside the narration

I tried to listen to this fascinating podcast, but kept being distracted by never knowing when background music would detract from my being able to focus on the narration. Please stop doing this, Amazon! Please don't have background music while people are talking. Save it for the beginning and the end, or in between chapters if you must.

It should appeal you if you're tech savvy.

It kept my attention throughout series, soundtrack adds more colors, and insightful and well thought concepts. Really enjoyed!

Let's go exo!

This podcast is perfect for launching your imagination into interstellar space while our Earth is locked down. The passion of all involved was vitalising.I was initially very cynical of Amazon as a company but my opinion has slightly changed through making these wonderful educational resources available.A big thank you and well done to all involved for reminding us just how incredible existence is!

Wonderful experience
