Publisher's Summary

A supervillain from the city of Grayville has made a big mistake: He stole from one of my companies. Now he is on my radar, and it's only a matter of time before I find him, and of course, murder him.

Ironically, the only thing preventing me from bringing the unknown douchebag to final justice is Grayville’s famous law-abiding superhero: The Shadow Knight.

But even a hero as accomplished as the Shadow Knight can’t stop me and my team from ending the super villain threat.

And if Shadow Knight won’t accept that, he might have to die as well.

Heads Up

I have enjoyed the story so far. Word of advice if you're listening to the audio books. listen to the first one enjoy it is a nice beginning. then when you listen to this one either stop before the final two chapters or hold off on this audiobook until the third one is released. the final two chapters are more of a setup for the next book then the finishing of this one.

Iron man goes to Gotham.

Iron man takes on the joker and pisses off batman. There, I just saved you a credit. A friend convinced me to give the 2nd book a chance. It was exactly what I expected. Meh book at best. Great performance by the cast though.

Interesting but not as good.

Without trying to spoil to much this is a little more predictable of just stepping into the Batman world.

Good with caveat

Was really good and I enjoyed it. But the very last scene was a bit too dark for my tastes to end on. I hope part 3 comes out soon.

super cringeworthy

mediocre parody of batman. highlights the ridiculousness of re arresting super villains over and over, and the sheer arrogance of batmans personality. unfortunately it does so with the subtlety of a sledgehammer. the plot is decent, the main character's super power is often his duchbagery. the sex scenes are the most average normal vanilla sex described like they are somehow revolutionizing the act. so it's great if a super hero power fantasy is all you wanted, like a B movie in book form, the terribleness being so blatant as to be good if you're in the right mood. The main reason I gave the story and final review 4 instead of 3 stars is Norma, she's also the main reason I'll still give the next book a shot too.

Why Batman is a lame

proof that you can make a very entertaining superhero story without the need to constantly reuse the same villains.

Another fantastic series from Logan Jacobs

I love that Actors everywhere used multiple narrators for this audiobook, they are all fantastic at what they do and it makes Evil Genius one of my favourite series to listen to.
