The Pulse Trilogy Complete Set includes The Pulse, Book 1 in the Pulse Trilogy, The Escape, Book 2 in the Pulse Trilogy, and The Thrust, Book 3 in the Pulse Trilogy by New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Shoshanna Evers, and narrated by John Lane.
The Pulse: a gripping erotic romance set in post-apocalyptic New York City one year after an electromagnetic pulse destroys America's power grid. Despite the crumbling world around them, can Emily and Mason discover true love blooming in the darkest of places?
The Escape: Emily's friend on the Tracks at the FEMA camp in Grand Central, Jenna, escapes New York City only to be tracked down by a soldier who might be her only hope of survival.
The Thrust: In the gritty conclusion to the erotic dystopian Pulse Trilogy, Clarissa and Trent undertake a desperate rescue mission in post-apocalyptic New York City. Could their struggle for freedom - and love - mean an escape from this dystopian nightmare?
Listen to all 3 books. Not the worst I have heard, however the story became very repetitive (yes - even the sex). I am usually fairly forgiving as far as plot reality goes (and maybe I was just getting bored) but having to manufacture a substitute for paper after 1 year - really. I am not convinced that the paper supplies would be exhausted after 1 year without manufacture. Paper is not the number 1 go to survival item when the world as you know it is ending. Normally something like this would not worry me ...........but for some reason this did.
Have a listen. I would suggest listening to them individually spaced over a reasonable time period rather than consecutively.
it was a great story the sex scenes very nice surprise . you can tell it was wrote by a woman and she is a very talented author . I kind of wish she went a little bit more in-depth with describing gear and rifles and weapons . I am definitely interested in more of her books .

I probably would have stop listening to the book a long time ago if it wasn't a series and I didn't already purchase it. the reader was like listening to a monotone Keanu Reeves. he had no range of emotion for the characters other than being the difference between male and female. The storyline was decent and explicit. but I didn't mind that part.
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Yes, but I would first ensure that they understood it is erotica. Overall, I enjoyed the storyline and the characters. You get a flavor of what a post-apocalyptic world would be like, and the daily grind that comes with survival under such circumstances. The realities of life in these characters' world are harsh. There is violence, and the typical problems you expect to encounter when resources are scarce, government has collapsed, and criminal minds take control. Some characters fall in line like sheep, while others fight back. Some also find release in sex... over and over again. Yes, there's a lot of that. A few characters made decisions based solely on fear or stupidity, which I found irritating, but not enough to take away my enjoyment. I kept reading to see if they matured and survived.
Would you be willing to try another book from Shoshanna Evers? Why or why not?
Most definitely. This trilogy was entertaining enough that I would purchase another book.
Which scene was your favorite?
Without giving away too much, it involved self-preservation, fighting back and escape.
Do you think The Pulse Trilogy Complete Set needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Yes, I actually started looking for a follow-up book before I was finished reading the last of the trilogy. Some of the characters experienced growth and maturity during the story. It would be interesting to see how far along they have gone on that journey. It would also be interesting to see if the survivors have been successful in getting society back to some sense of normalcy, or if their lives have been changed forever more.
Any additional comments?
Readers beware. If you do not like to read erotica, then do not pick up this book. It has that in spades. If you do not mind reading erotica, give the book a try. It will keep you entertained until you get to the last page.
How would you fare after a major threat and what would you do to survive? Throw in blind allegiance to a cruel dictator and lots of sex and you never want to put the story down.
