Publisher's Summary

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

Cassidy Hutchinson’s desk was mere steps from the most controversial president in recent American history. Now, she provides a riveting account of her extraordinary experiences as an idealistic young woman thrust into the middle of a national crisis, where she risked everything to tell the truth about some of the most powerful people in Washington.

Ever since a childhood visit to Washington, DC, Cassidy Hutchinson aspired to serve her country in government. Raised in a working-class family with a military background, she was the first in her immediate family to graduate from college. Despite having no ties to Washington, Hutchinson landed a vital position at the center of the Trump White House.

Her life took a dramatic turn on January 6th, 2021, when, at twenty-four, she found herself in one of the most extraordinary and unprecedented calamities in modern political history.

Hutchinson was faced with a choice between loyalty to the Trump administration or loyalty to the country by revealing what she saw and heard in the attempt to overthrow a democratic election. She bravely came forward to become the pivotal witness in the House January 6 investigations, as her testimony transfixed and stunned the nation. In her memoir, Hutchinson reveals the struggle between the pressures she confronted to toe the party line and the demands of the oath she swore to defend American democracy.

Enough reaches far beyond the typical insider political account. It’s the saga of a woman whose fierce determination helped her overcome childhood challenges to get her dream job, only to face a crisis of conscience—one that more senior White House aides tried to evade—and, in the process, find her voice and herself. This is a portrait of how the courage of one person can change the course of history.

Very Interesting tale of courage, though a little long

Anyone with an interest in the current state of US politics would no doubt enjoy this gripping memoir from someone who became inexorably intwined in the highest parts of the GOP circle.

Whilst it's no doubt an incredible story of bravery and of country over partisanship, the writing style is very slow. The second half certainly picks up but it's almost like a daily diary in it's level of detail and I think could have been more aggressively edited back.

Courageous and insightful

Progression through early life through to post-January 6, this was an amazing story with a courageous ending.

Beautifully spoken, this book appeals to anybody who cares about democracy and the rule of law.

Pretty good

This was more of an autobiography than I expected. It was good insight to the workings of the White House.

courageous young women, wise beyond her years

The story was a little slow to start with however it became apparent that the family background and informative years played an important part in Cassidy's determination to do the right thing and objectively reflect on her role in the final months of the Thump administration. There are many emotive and serious moments in the book but also some funny ones as well. I have total respect for what Cassidy has been through, even though my political views are different. Maybe that is the difference between Maga absolutist and those whom can reflect on their actions and admit fault, seek forgiveness, and aim for fairness. This is a great book and all the better because it's in Cassidy's own voice.

Overall it’s great to hear the truth.

How can all the Republicans sleep at night after the brave girl showed them to be so weak and selfish.

A Breath of Fresh Air

I found this story a breath of fresh air. In a world of turmoil and “fake news” it was refreshing to hear Cassidy’s story. She is believable and shows integrity and brings to light the evil forces in politics that still roam the halls of congress today. I applaud her candor and wish her a bright future - for all she went through she deserves nothing but the best.

So glad you read your story Cassidy.

The only Trump insider I’ve listen too. Lovely to hear your childhood story and I was saddened by the story of your father.
I’m sure Bob Woodward would be proud.

A profile in courage

What a truly brave woman. Was a real trumpeter supporter and a bit naive but rescued her reputation and integrity by bravely testifying to the Jan 6 Commission. A great “read” and the author read her own work well (which doesn’t always happen).
I can highly recommend to any politics junkie.
