Summary
Alexis Snipperdoom always knew she had enemies, but never gave it a second thought until now. Reckless and unafraid, she let her guard down, only to find herself in a life-threatening situation that quickly spirals out of control. Faced by an unconscionable betrayal, Alexis begins to realize she cannot solely depend on witchcraft to defeat her enemies.
After discovering his wife's fate, Armbruster frantically sets out to find help. As time runs out for the Queen, he summons Florenzzah Lovecraft, the Great Witch of Tullah Mountain, believing she is the only one powerful enough to aid Alexis. Florenzzah, an enemy of Alexis, agrees to help as long as her demands are met.
As desperate attempts to rescue Alexis are foiled by the enemy repeatedly, she fears this could be the end of her life, as well as her reign on Alstromia. With her kingdoms freedom at stake, she finds the strength within herself to fight back against an enemy she has known all along.
