Very much enjoyed the arc of this story, peppered with interesting side bars on science, psychology and memory. The narrator of the book is good, however took long inhalations regularly which irritated me. Otherwise, very good.

I loved the twists and turns of McEwan’s Atonement so I was looking forward to this book. I found it dragged and then came to an unsatisfactory end. I will not be recommending it.
