Strong finish

1st and third books are the best. Book 2 almost lost me. It was an interesting story.

Our Government Becomes More Evil Daily

I read all three books in the mid-1980s. I am very happy to see it finally made it to tape! The demoncrat party makes life on Earth worse daily and the EU and communist China only make it worse. I wish I could go to the stars to escape. sadly, there will be a war instead. Demoncrats will have to move to Europe and China. Mr. Bova teaches us the danger of one-world government in his trilogy. Learn the lesson and apply it.

Better than the first two

The narrator has a great voice if you're trying to fall asleep. The story is quite basic and takes a lot from better sci fi. If I was going to spend money for it, I'd be better off with Orphans of the Sky by Heinlein. Same premise, but Heinlein did it better. Worth a listen if it's included in your plan.

All three books together make a decent size story

This wasn't my favorite Bova novel. I like the overall story, but it wasn't as gripping as I expected. Like most of his novels, you could tell the writer was from an older generation who has some very definite opinions on things. Still, the Bova's stories I've read are decent and worth a read. I think this was some of his earlier work, and not as polished as his later works. I especially like the Asteroid Wars and Grand Tour books he wrote later in his career.

Absolutely spellbinding!

I could hardly put this book down! I wasn’t too happy with the first book of the series when I discovered the reason people were being exiled from Earth. I thought the author was trying to sell people on the idea of genetically modifying human beings. Thankfully, however, that didn’t remain the primary focus of the story. The second book reminded me of the old song, “Torn Between Two Lovers.” This third book is a real nail biter almost to the very end! I really couldn’t bring myself to stop even for a good nigh’s sleep! The suspense was palpable! Just imagine being on a spaceship bound for a planet that might or might not be fit for humans to live on and then finding out that it’s not! The journey has taken many years. Children have been born aboard the ship, but something awful happens during their childhood! What will happen to them? Who will maintain the ship’s systems? Are they doomed to never set foot on land again?! Maybe, unless they can overcome fear and superstition!

Wow.! I don't know if I can do it justice!

Three books, three stories, one novel. All three were well written, and finely narrated. The first third of the three books began slow as we were introduced to the possibilitys this Place, and time of human history offered to the listener.
Each involves the same conflicts between a protagonist on the side of humanity while besting an egocentric dark people hungry for power, willing to win through every obsticle of good, smart people who are seeking the greater good for humanity vs egocentric wealth..
All three are the same stuss in a different reality lived in...
I feel like I have a greater understanding of the people who are movers, and shakers in the worlds we live in... - The why, and how of things.

Disappointing 3rd book of series

3rd and final book in series, not suitable as a standalone read, yet doesn't flow smoothly from previous book. Characters got to know in previous books had no place in this one which was an added disappointment. Only reason I continued and finished listening to this was as always the narrator performance engaging and easy to listen to.
