Empires of EVE: A History of the Great Wars of EVE Online is the incredible true story of the dictators and governments that have risen to power within the real virtual world of EVE Online.

Since 2003, this sci-fi virtual world has been ruled by player-led governments commanding tens of thousands of real people. The conflict and struggle for power between these diverse governments has led to wars, espionage, and battles fought by thousands of people from nations all over the world. There have been climactic last stands, wars for honor and revenge, and spies who caused more damage than a fleet of warships.

Empires of EVE is the history of how political ideas first began to take hold in EVE Online, how that led to the creation of the first governments and political icons, and how those governments eventually collapsed into a state of total war from 2007-2009.

Enjoyed listening to the Digital Epic that is the story of an MMO playerbase in the New Eden Universe that is EVE: Online in its formative years, following many of the player groups from Alpha, the early coalitions of the Beta and controversy of veteran and new playerbases upon titles' release to the public and the player, coalitions, and aliances struggle against each other, with espionage and infiltration quickly taking place over the older ideology of formed lines exchanging volleys, too the carnage of entire fleets being decimated by timely co-ordinate strikes and pinsir manoeuvres, dedicated player perciverence, inspiring last stands and propagander driven clashes of this player driven community is something truly awe inspiring as single players can turn the tide and change course of player engagements within New Eden!

Well spoken and very informative, though the pauses in between paragraphs was at times quite unpleasant!

I loved it, I am an EVE player myself, Been playing for 4 years and I've only heard very small amounts from trickles off my corporation, alliance etc. I highly say give it a read even if you aren't a player
