In this genre of books, we don’t get a lot of Yakuza stories, and I enjoy the linking to the other characters. Delving into the Yakuza branch of this interconnected story didn’t disappoint. Plot/ interconnected characters from other book series bit of banter push and pull met yr match and of course spicey spice. Haven’t met a jagger Cole book boyfriend yet that I didn’t want to manifest.

My only beef is that while it’s very Jagger Cole, when the love hits, it’s seemingly super quick and fast-forwarded.

The voice actress can act. That’s for sure but, is operating 100 when it requires 60. seemed to yell each chapter out, which was jarring and managed to make the FMC unlikeable. While the male voice actor brought the acting, I wonder if he sounded too mature to be Kenzo. These details pull you out of the story.
