Brilliant book with some really useful advice

This audio book is invaluable if you need to get out in a narcissistic marriage for whatever reason. The author is very clear and I finally have words to put to what was happening in my marriage and see clearly what I was doing to aid my abuser without realizing it. I'm so thankful to the author of this book.

This book is so encouraging

If you are in a relationship with someone who yells, hits, or abuses you in any way, I advise you to have this book. Even If you are not in any danger, but are unhappy or frustrated with communication differences or feeling disrespected, this book will be a great help in discussing all the ways you may actually snap out of your old patterns and learn some self-respect, set some boundaries, and put yourself in the driver's seat of your self-esteem. This will do wonders for your relationship, believe me!

Extremely helpful

I wish I had this book about a year ago when I’d started to see the signs in my relationship. I’m out of the relationship, but the book is still helpful in my healing process and still helping me understand what happened.

You can't fix your partner's narcissism!

This is the best book I have listened on the subject of narcissistic abuse in relationships and how this abuse affects the victim. The author also gives specific advice and strategies for dealing with either staying in the relationship and what that would mean versus leaving the relationship and the hurdles and dangers to be aware of in that scenario.

Great insight!

I will use this audiobook to help me deal with a sibling , now I know how to be around my family and not let the narcissist take over the situation and leave me to tears after the event, thank you for giving me this insight to why and how to deal with these kind of people.

Great book on CBT and DBT

Definitely a help if you are an empath, or deal with a narcissist. I enjoyed them and will adapt some of the ideas into my life. This book is practical and down to earth so far. it provides a good information about CBT and DBT and how to properly use them. I really liked the book and I recommended highly this book for everyone.

Logical, easy to understand, and very motivating!

A ton of information about narcissistic abuse and how relationships are affected by it. This book also has techniques on how to deal with narcissists. Narcissistic people tend to be excellent manipulators so this audiobook tells you what to watch out for.

Phenomenal!

I found this audiobook to be informative and a great resource. It was detailed and narrated in an easy to understand fashion. This is helpful for recognizing and ridding yourself of relationships that maybe toxic to you. This really is a great book. I learned many things and hope to help myself and others too.

Great addition to my therapy collection

This book is outstanding. Even if you are not a child or relative or friend of someone with substance issues, even if you do not consider yourself co-dependent, this book is wonderful for building self esteem and setting boundaries, or generalized anxiety. The techniques and insight of this book, along with general progress, has helped recover from codependency. Well done!

Great workbook with valuable activities!

Yes, this book is absolutely helping me change my life. All these years of pain, trying to fix everything for everyone, whether they asked for it or not, anxiety, depression, craziness and then ultimately losing who I was completely and ignoring desperately needed self care. I now understand why I did the things I did. I saw myself in every word and every chapter. This audiobook is a huge step forward in self care! I feel understood, supported and encouraged.

Great for Everyone!

There's a lot of information about DBT skills, and CBT techniques that has really helped me become aware of my thoughts, emotions, and how to let them pass. My anxiety, and panic attacks are at an all-time low and I'd be lying if I didn't give this book some of the credit.

A lot of work, but worth it

I love how she explains the most important parts of this book such as understanding the narcissistic person in your life, healing from a codependent relationship, dealing with real narcissistic people, taking back control, and assessing the situation objectively. This is a straightforward guide to understanding the human ego and many of the core motivations behind emotions. This book does provide some retrospective on the possible reasons for the presence of those feelings and some suggestions on how to address them and potentially build habits that might diminish their impact over time. Very informative guide.

Amazing resource

Well-written and informative. This answers all the questions I have about the experience I had and currently have with my husband. People who suffer from narcissistic abuse will get so much from this book. I also love how the author explains the elements and application of CBT and DBT in life. Great listen

This is a great audiobook to explain the concepts and uses of CBT and DBT. This book goes into more detail than the other DBT Skills and CBT manuals. It does a decent job of explaining how to use these skills in daily life. Worth listening multiple times!

I Feel Great!

This book will change your life

This is definitely one of the best audiobooks out there for people who have problems understanding and controlling their emotions. it is very well written and gets the basic points down in a gentle and understanding manner. It's incredibly accessible and breaks down CBT and DBT principles. Not everyone had someone to teach them these necessary skills and techniques as children and it's definitely worth the few bucks. Those skill help me to enjoy the moment instead of worrying or thinking of something else.

Best therapy tool

This book has changed my view of relationships and how easily we are attracted to those who are ultimately not our soulmate, but instead our woundmate. I would highly recommend it to those of you who have survived childhood trauma, and thus suffer from codependency. I had always considered myself a “highly emotional person,” and I wished that I could change that about myself. With the help of this well-written book, I now understand and have much better control over my emotions. It helped me understand how to detach myself and how to overcome negative emotions. I am very thankful.
