Eragon and his dragon, Saphira, have just saved the rebel state from destruction by the mighty forces of King Galbatorix, cruel ruler of the Empire. Too long

Much longer than the first book, I found a lot of chapter pointless to listening about.

Gerrard Doyle is the perfect voice

Gerrard Doyle has picked the perfect voices for all the characters, I'm able to emerse myself into the story as if when I was physically reading the books myself.

Awesome book

I've always loved fanyasy fiction like this and this book can stand easily among some of the best (not that I've read or listened to many) but I do always compare to the epic that is Lord of the Rings. Would recommend this easily! I just wish a movie was made to the quality of the book.

Poor narrating

What disappointed you about Eldest - Part One?

The narrator. The story is brilliant!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Saphira, but the Narrator killed her voice. It is supposed to be nice and pleasant sounding voice yet he gives her a gravely throat cancer voice which made me cringe every time she had a vocal line.

Would you be willing to try another one of Gerrard Doyle’s performances?

No!!

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Eldest - Part One?

N/a

Great but

This is a great title and story but I have one piece of criticism. I imagined that Saphira sound like a calm woman, not like a chainsmoker

Again the Saphira's voice

As with the first book it is great! But again the voice for Saphira just doesn't fit.

I’m glad there’s more to the story, I was so lost in this like the first book. Now time to start the third book now.

You can't ask for much else

The follow up is always the hardest but despite the slow middle the story rolls on and the story teller does a good enough job to keep you from turning off.
