Always fantastic
Good reading, fantastic story, thanks! Tho, the forward makes me want to read the story's Mr Sanderson wrote with no big world shattering events. Just emersing myself in the day to day life of these worlds is a wonderful experience.

Excellent Book, Difficult to Like Narrator
The only problem I have with this book is its Narrator.
This is obviously a major selling point when it comes to an Audiobook and might put people off. My dislike of the narrator’s voice was overcome by the story itself by the halfway mark, however, so while the beginning is quite jarring you do get used to it.
If you like audiobooks this is a decent listen, given that it is an incredible story and is worth the perceived faults of the narrator.

great book, soso performance
I am sure the narrator tried hard and managed to have some variability in voices for the characters, but otherwise lifeless performance. better suited to tv or radio commercials, not for reading books. sorry man, but this takes away a fair bit from the story that is otherwise great. still better than the dramatised version which was so horrible that I had to abandon and return it.

Great fantasy
Great story and narration. Jack (narrator) has good acting skills and a strong accent but doesn't take long to get used to. Story is as engaging as any of Sanderson.

You get used to the performance, good book
Not Brandon’s best book, but as his first book I went into it expecting this. The book took a bit to get the ball rolling but did still engage me from the start. The performance was essentially the same deal - you get used to it and it’s okay by the end.

Brilliant
Who am I to critique the reigning monarch of fantasy?
'Elantris' is a brilliant novel. It manages to be a fantasy novel with great mystical elements and world building, a political thriller, and a stunningly powerful slow burn romance. It has a moderate pace similar to Pratchett and novels of his era. Despite all of this, 'Elantris'' primary beauty is in its wonderful character development and the character driven plot begs to be read in one sitting.
It will leave you in the emotional upheaval that only hands of a great paperback can cause. I fully plan to reread this novel every year for the next decade.
