En la pequeña aldea de Tredannick Wartha aparece el cadáver de la joven Brenda Tregennis junto a sus hermanos Owen y George, que ríen y gritan víctimas de la locura. Todo parece indicar que una diabólica visión ha precedido a la triple desgracia.
