I can’t get past chapter 2

I spent chapter one complaining at my phone because of the absolutely shameful behaviour of the journalists harassing a man because they somehow thought they had a 'right' to intrude upon his personal space and pressure him into giving an interview!

Chapter 2... Long drawn out, unpleasant and tedious, certainly I don't want to hear any more!

I also find the background noise overdone and most annoying!

Probably the worst podcast series ever!

Dreadfully dull. Quite why Audible has offered this for free is a mystery far greater than any contained within this series.

Awful narrator - who sounds like a cross between Nick Hornby and Steve 'interesting' Davis. Just terrible.

An incredible tale

So sad that such an unassuming man and his brother’s wife were killed for his land. The whole story is winding and almost unbelievable. The production is very well done

Could have been so much better

I found it hard to stay with this. The story is told with no real structure (particularly the first 2 episodes) and all the interesting or ‘plot twist’ are given away far too early so when it comes to that part in the story- you already know. Had it been told better, it could have been so much more.

Captivating!

Couldn’t stop listening to it once I’d started. A really sad and heartbreaking story that needs to be exposed and broadcast! Journalism at its finest!

I use this as a sleep story

Nearly two episodes in and I'm still not clear on the true crime element, so far just a boring review of a boring business? Maybe a slow builder but I'm not going to find out I'm afraid, yawn.

A good bit of journalism

Like many people, I fascinated by crime and the apprehension of criminals but I cannot stand the glorified true crime "documentaries" that glamourise crime and try to make it exciting.

This was a really good bit of journalism, something sadly lacking in most quarters today. Plenty of background detail on the victim and criminal, touching on the crime just enough, the investigation and capture of the perpetrators and beyond.

A really enjoyable listen, despite the sad subject matter.

intriguing listen

Theres something about murder & the macabre that makes for compulsive listening, especially when the storey is factual
