Es ist die Geschichte eines namenlosen Soldaten, der sich vollends mit dem System identifiziert. Der Einzelne zählt für ihn nicht, er ist lediglich Teil des sogenannten Volkskörpers. Horváths damalige Lebensgefährtin, die Schauspielerin Wera Liessem, liest dieses Stück, in dem die Unmenschlichkeit des Regimes voll und ganz deutlich wird.
