Publisher's Summary

Brotherhood and beer meets single mom and apple pie.

I am a riding contradiction. A scholar, a cynic, a brother, and a biker.

My name is Trunk. I’m smart enough to recognize the chip on my shoulder, and cautious enough to keep it right where it is.

I am a misguided romantic. A mom, a daughter, an agent, and a survivor.

My name is Jaimie. I’m strong enough to look after my family alone, and too stubborn to accept I don’t have to.

We make an odd couple - our differences obvious - but when hatred and danger threaten to destroy everything of value in our lives, we only get stronger.

Together.

a little slower than rock point

seeing as Ouray makes an appearance quite a lot in this book I'm glad i know the backstory.
the protagonists make an appearance yet again in this one and it jogs my memory.
it moves around a bit and i was having trouble connecting the attacks.
the first half of the book is quite slow and Im glad I'm aware of other settings and characters.
the back end picks up pace and i enjoyed that the most and it's then, that I connect the dots.
I still feel that there are a lot of holes in the plotline...ie: how protagonists did what they did. no communication between H and h. a side story with a biker....it feels like a fill in.
stuff just seems to be missing the mark. brothers run hot and cold. there's steam and in this book you need a lot of patience. I'm just 2nd guessing myself after listening to an 80% action and 20% romance novel.
it's a touchy topic that freya takes on and it sifts through with the lighter side of MC
narrator's were a first listen and did ok
krystans voice was great and almost whisper quiet but she can put it out there when her temper character temper comes through.
male narrator had the colloquialisms of the H down to a tee. great plotline though, just a tad slow and tricky whodunnits
