A fantastic collection of tales!
I have to acknowledge the very comical and realistic characters portrayed by the narrator, through the voice characteristics of each person encountered. It adds so much to the an already charming collection of stories. Book 1 Montana Rescue It's suggested that the sheriff should set the example, and in doing so, save the town, by finding a mail order bride. There's drama, even before the prospective bride arrives, and it doesn't stop there. There's interference from sinister people, wanting to revel in other people's misery. However, there is a HEA in this first episode. Book 2 Montana Bargain Dr Wu was the next in line to try the Mail order advertising for his dream bride. With a little help, the ad for a female doctor, willing to meet certain requirements was placed. Luckily, Erin replied wanting a practice of her own, as she hadn't had any joy in gaining employment, even after gaining her doctor's qualifications. It's a grand story, with the ups and downs of any two people getting to know each other. Book 3 Montana Adventure Again we see an advertisement placed for a would be bride, this time for Billy, the artist and part owner in the sheep farm. However, Billy is called on an urgent errand, with Lucky, before his potential bride arrives. Drama and emotional rollercoaster ensues, as their errand turns out differently to what they expected. Meanwhile, Shadow falls to the studious tracking of the sheriff, who reacts differently to what you would expect. Overall an engaging yarn, that shares the emotional feelings of those that call Echo Valley home.

Torture to listen to.
I was looking forward to this series. I love the mail order bride story line and the timeline. But this was so hard to listen to. The narrators were not well done. Voices like children when they tried to do a lady and I don't even know where to begin with the accents. Story we so predictable and corny. Couldn't make it to the end. I listen to them in the car with my husband and he paid me to stop this one.

Loved These Stories
I was given this set of books in exchange for an unbiased review via audiobook boom. I love mail order brides books and this set delivered. I love that the sheriff took the plunge first to let the citizens know it was ok. The doctor's story was even better. I am not sure about the role the two villains played in each of these stories. Shadow's role left a lot to be desired. He was not responsible for the way his father treated him but after he was grown he became responsible for his actions. I know some stories lend themselves to having villains included just not so much with these.

Delightful!
Linda Bridey does it again with this new series set in Echo Canyon and the lives and loves of those who come and go. I laughed out loud and felt pangs to the heart. The narrator of book one really was a little off with some of the voices but it improved with book 2. As always thankful for the free audible and enjoyed every one!

This is a fun Mail order bride series.
The first book in the series, sets the stage for the books that follow. Although each can be read as a stand alone, the reader/listener will get a clearer "picture" of the important various characters. Echo Canyon, Montana, was a once flourishing mining town. When the ore in the mines ran "dry" then most left the town to find work elsewhere. When the suggestion was made that the me send for mail order brides so the population will increase, the sheriff concluded he should set the example. He had his aunt proof read his advertisement and mailed it to the newspapers in the network. He unexpectedly received several responses. One, especially, interested him and after many letters, he asked Josie to come to Echo Canyon to meet him and the members of the community. The community received her well and she soon became attached to the people in the community. The book relates the experiences and relationships directly and indirectly related to the two individuals and the interactions of them with the community. The Narrator, Lawrence D. Yaklin, did a very good delivery with the men's voices and an elderly lady, but failed to enhance the story with his delivery of the female "voices". In Book 2, since the Sheriff's mail order bride worked out so well, his comrade, the Chinese veterinarian, decided he would do the same. Again, he had the sheriff's aunt proof read it and send it...He asked that the lady be a doctor, want children nd willing to be married after one week of being in Echo Canyon. . Among several responses, one sounded ideal. Against her friend's vehement arguments, Erin was determined to accept this, since she had been unable to find a position in any state since she graduated medical school. She would finally get to set up her own practice... Again, this worked out well. The adventures, and obstacles, of this couple is dramatically entertaining. There is added humor in this book. The Narrator, Erick Burr, did a very good job in his delivery of the emphasis and "voices" . However, although his delivery of the women voices is much better, there was two men's voices I felt the Narrator in Book one, did a better job in his portrayal. In Book Three, The young American Indian young man, decided if he ever was to be married, he would have to search outside of the county. Thus, he took his advertisement to the sheriff's aunt to correct and send to the newspapers. He was bombarded with responses. He finally decided on one he felt was a good "fit". However, before his prospective bride could arrive, he was called on to go with his close friend to an urgent message to meet in a distant city area. Due to complications, a few unexpected "twists" occur resulting in individual challenges. This last book of this boxed set, contains a conclusion to key situations contained in all three books. This whole series was uplifting and uncommon due to the interactions with unique individuals.

Love and adventure
Ms. Bridey created straight, strong journeys with every story through this series. She has shown once again that adventure without love is only empty. Adventure with love at the wheel creates strength and happiness of unsurpassed joy. Prejudice can only be overridden by love. It is the only way to destroy hate! I enjoyed the journey through each book!
