What did you learn from Easy Sleep Solutions: 74 Best Tips for Better Sleep Health that you would use in your daily life?

That we have 5 Stages of sleep: Stage One - When we are preparing to drift off, we go though Alpha and Theta, and have periods of dreaminess, almost like daydreaming, except we are beginning to fall asleep. These are interesting states, in that we experience them throughout the day and some people may have more of these waves than others. Stage Two - The second stage of sleep lasts about 20 minutes. Our brain begins to produce very short periods of rapid, rhythmic brain wave activity known as Sleep Spindles. Body temperature begins dropping and heart rate starts slowing down. Stage Three - Deep, slow brain waves known as Delta Waves begin to emerge during this stage. It is a transitional period between light sleep and a very deep sleep. Stage four - This is sometimes referred to as Delta Sleep because of the delta waves that occur during this time. Stage Four is a deep sleep that lasts for about 30 minutes. Sleepwalking and bed-wetting typically happen at the end of Stage Four sleep. (This does not include the problems that can happen with sleep medications like Ambien and Lunesta). And Stage Five: REM - REM sleep is characterized by eye movement, increased respiration rate and increased brain activity. REM sleep is also referred to as paradoxical sleep because, while the brain and other body systems become more active, your muscles become more relaxed, or paralyzed. This period of paralyzation is a built-in protective measure to keep you from harming yourself. When you are paralyzed, you can’t leap out of bed and run. Do you ever feel like you can’t escape during a dream? Well, the truth is, you can’t. You can breathe, and your heart is working, but you really can’t move.

Cycles - Sleep does not progress through all of these stages in sequence, however. Sleep begins in Stage One and progresses into stages 2, 3, and 4. Then, after Stage Four sleep, Stages Three, then Two are repeated before going into REM sleep. Once REM is over, we usually return to Stage Two sleep. Sleep cycles through these stages approximately 4 or 5 times throughout the night.

read this book if you want to start sleeping well

Learn what is more important : quantity or quality of the sleep you have! Pick up a plenty of tips and advice, follow them and you will enjoy your life to the max. I did it and I never will look back ! I love this book, well done, narration is great as well.

It's definitely up there. I actually listened to the audiobook again because I am still suffering from sleep deprivation and implementing other techniques.

Who was your favorite character and why?

This is a nonfiction title so I guess my favorite character would be myself! The narrator as well.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The tag line would be, "sleep for a better tomorrow."

I would highly recommend this book to anyone lacking sleep. There's 74 tips here so better make use of all of it!

One definitive sleeping guide.

This is working well for my husband and I. We have experienced working at night and sleeping at day. Somehow, my husband began to be used to this lifestyle that he’s been having a hard time dealing with it. Coming across this sleep guide was a blessing for me as we’re experiencing little changes in our quality of sleep. It may be few improvements but it’s a good start. Thanks to the over seventy natural solutions that’s keeping us healthy and happier!

Should follow this book

Amazing book. At the date, I have read other two books related to sleeping, and this was the concise and clearer of the three (the others were also useful, either way). I have liked the extremely synthesis done to explain the ideas fast. The book can listen to 1-2 days.

sleep well

It works! My baby girls sleep 12 hours a night. we've had a few regressions due to milestones and it can be discouraging, but knowing that you won't start again from zero is a big comfort! for the most part hubby and I
get lots of rest!

Better Sleep Health

This book offered a lot of really great step by step advice. I've done a lot of listening online too regarding methods of sleep training, and this book was still able to offer new ideas and information that I hadn't heard before. I haven't night weaned yet, so we haven't completed sleep training all the way yet, but we have made modifications based on recommendations from the book, which are definitely improving my son's sleep so that he's no longer waking up every two hours.

great guide

I'm not usually a 'self-help' book person but I was desperate and my pediatrician recommended this book. I bought the audible narration.
Soooo very grateful! Easy listen.This book helped us finally sleep thru the night. My son has more energy and is happier throughout the day.
