Best rollercoaster I've ever been on!

This series was amazing! I started the first book 'Dying for a living' a year ago on my kindle. It was a great read! I had to read the rest of them, but my downtime was significantly lessened when I took on a new job. Enter Audible. I found the binge pack and had to get it. It took me probably 2 months to read that first book in my down time. It took the same time to "read" the entire series through Audible. Amazing.

Hollie Jackson is a rockstar! I love to read, hearing the different character voices and fluctuations in my head. Hollie put my inner narrator to shame. She did so well giving everyone a different tone and speach pattern, even the men, that I had no trouble seeing the movie in my mind. I would definitely give her High Recommendations for further readings.

Kory M. Shrum is a spectacular author. She lays the scene so intricately that the story unfolds effortlessly in my mind. I would do this series no justice by offering a rendition of my own here. All that I can say is her theory of death replacement is remarkable and I often caught myself believing it to be real. She made me want to know these characters and help them in their struggles. I was glad things ended the way they did. Not a romanticized happy ending, not a nonsensicle ending leaving me confused or upset, just... feasible, pragmatic in a way. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I highly recommend this series to anyone with an excellent imagination and an interest in humans with a higher calling (of sorts) I can't wait to start a new book/series with Kory and Hollie!

PAGE TURNER... can't put it down!!!

This story has more twists and turns than the Tunnel of Love at my favorite amusement park. A great set of characters living an amazing, scary adventure. Sometimes it takes a little to much concentration to keep those characters all straight in my mind, but that just makes every page worth listening to.

I just have to keep my eye on the prize (all the prizes). Every new revelation makes the pieces fit together perfectly in a very complex story. Sometimes I wish that Kory would just lay out ALL the SECRETS, but then I'd have nothing to look forward to. Every secret, every revelation, every new power is exactly in the right time and place. It's a great SET OF READS.

Better off reading this book

The story is good, but you are better off reading it vs listening to it.

I wish I had known this was a Lesbian love story

I had a hard time getting into the main characters head. The story was great don’t get me wrong, but I am just not into Lesbian love story’s. The narrator was fantastic! I like stories that I can relate to the character in some way. Since I have never loved a woman in the way described in the story it left me slightly annoyed more then not. You can have a best friend without wanting to bed them randomly while also dating the opposite sex. I admit I yelled at the story a few times. I had bought both boxed sets so I just listened on. Hopefully I will not make this mistake again.
