Publisher's Summary

He only has one shot to make it right.

James T. Brinkley was discharged from the military after a fatal mistake changed his life - and took another.

As an agent, Brinkley has devoted his life to protecting the vulnerable while trying to atone for his sins. At the center of his quest for redemption lies Jesse Sullivan, a young woman whose future depends on the decisions he makes now. One wrong move and he'll deliver her right into the hands of the sadist killer who hunts her.

Is Jesse his one chance at redemption? Or the fatal regret he takes to the grave?

Called "smart, imaginative, and insanely addictive". Listen to this contemporary fantasy series unlike any other.

This is the companion novel to the Dying for a Living series. It can be skipped, but the author recommends listening to it between novels Dying by the Hour and Dying Light.

This series is a must ...

What did you love best about Dying for Her?

I loved that we learned more about Brinkley in this book ... it ties up the first two books nicely as well as lends us a little background on Brinkley, Gloria, Sullivan, Caldwell, Jesse and more

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

YES ... while the story jumped from memories to present ... I couldn't wait to learn more about Brinkley and his relationships with Gloria, Caldwell, Sullivan

Have you listened to any of Hollie Jackson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I adore this narrator ... I love her voice and it lends well to male story lines ... not over done!

In a nutshell, this is Brinkley's backstory. Some of it has been covered in the last book, (we are just getting a different pov), and some of it goes further back in time. I can't say that Brinkley comes off very well in this installment. Also it doesn't move the story arc along any further than the last book. Overall, I think this is tolerable but a miss. I find this narrator rather stilted.
