About this listen
Jesuit Father Bill Sneck takes an in-depth look into Ignatian Spirituality. Ignatian Spirituality insists that God is present in our world and active in our lives. It is a pathway to deeper prayer, good decisions guided by keen discernment, and an active life of service to others. St. Ignatius of Loyola founded the Society of Jesus in 1540 after years of his own spiritual discernment and discoveries. Ultimately discernment is praying for the grace to act on a decision that has been spiritually conceived. Fr. Sneck walks his audience through the First and Second Week Rules of Discernment, of the Four-Week process called the Spiritual Exercises. Ultimately Week Three and Four are the celebration of the Paschal Mystery of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The aim of this presentation is to make one better able to enter into the Paschal Mystery of Christ after self-discovery of spiritual discernment through Weeks One and Two. By utilizing the Rules of St. Ignatius and learning the fundamentals of discernment, Fr. Sneck believes that one can better live the life that God is calling all His people to enjoy by developing a flair for prayer, a yearning for learning and an attitude of gratitude.
