Story
It is the winter of 1985. Hope Farm sticks out of the ragged landscape like a decaying tooth, its weatherboard walls sagging into the undergrowth. Silver's mother, Ishtar, has fallen for the charismatic Miller, and the three of them have moved to the rural hippie commune to make a new start. But here, at just 13, she is thrust into an unrelenting adult world, and the walls begin to come tumbling down, with deadly consequences.

Good writer, nice suspense, but.....
Plot line is so far fetched, and had me rolling my eyes often. I will give the author another go, since the actual writing was good, and I wanted to find out what happened. Just hopeful that the storylines become more plausible.

Wow
That was incredible. The narrator is without a doubt, the best I’ve ever heard. I thought I was listening to several narrators. Brilliant story!

Fantastical Femme Fiction
With a tight, action-packed story to hook me right at the start, a well-selected narrator, this story unfurled itself in a way that I didn't want to stop listening. Kick-ar$3 protagonist having to think quickly, trust her training and instincts to prove her innocence whilst relying on own judgement of whom to trust... some fantastical scenarios... but they work for entertainment value. I'd love to see this on the big screen!

Expressionless narration.
Story wasn’t bad. I feel that at times it could of gotten exciting but the narrator didn’t really change her tone and it came of very flat and monotonous. Even in action scenes she didn’t convey to me any expression or emotion to harness my attention.

Juvenile and excessive.
I disliked this over the top story and plot. Torturous, agonisingly long. Hyper hackers and super assassins don’t appeal. The super assassin seems to have hundred of troops on call but no one knows. Too much silly trivia about food while in the middle of an escape. Super assassin does conjuring tricks in the finale. Unnecessary sequel flagged. I won’t bother.
