Who am I?

I've forgotten the answer to that question long ago. Ever since I ran from that house, so desperate to escape, I left with only the clothes on my back and socks on my feet. After that day, I've only ever walked in stolen shoes.

Could I be a girl who is searching for the meaning of life in faceless men? They were all so forgettable. Until he came along. He took me under a waterfall and made me forget my name, and in return, I took his instead.

Enzo Vitale.

An enigmatic man who will only ever love the deep sea. Or rather the predators that inhabit it. Turns out, he's not so different than the monsters he feeds. He lured me onto his boat like a fish in the ocean, seeking vengeance for my crime. Had I realized his intentions, and that a massive storm would leave us shipwrecked, I would've run.

Now, I'm a girl who's seeking refuge in a decrepit lighthouse with a man who loathes me almost as much as he craves me. He wants to hurt me, but the old caretaker of the abandoned island may have intentions far more sinister.

It's no longer a question of who I am, but rather, will I survive?

Falls a bit flat

I'm not entirely sure if I liked or disliked this book. I had really high expectations based on the blurb and having read the Cat and Mouse duet. I thought it was going to be more of a thriller but the so called plot twist fell flat with me. This was touted as enemies to lovers but I really didn't feel the chemistry 😕 Performance was top notch especially the male narrator

Great Read

I powered through this, story was really interesting - enemies to lovers, shipwrecked, one bed, ominous island, shady lighthouse keeper.

Very Spicy

The performance was great, very listenable. The beginning was quite slow, took a while for the story to go anywhere but once it did, it was great. thoroughly enjoyed the character development.

I wanted it to be over, but wanted to know how it ended

Got it after a recommendation on tik tok of a lady that read it in a night but didn’t think it was that great.
- Found the s scenes to be repetitive saying the same things over and over and too frequent.
- Found Enzo’s accent so awful and hard to listen to.
All in all a bit disappointing and very predictable.

Fabulous duel narration

I love H D Carlton and this book is no different. Her type of spice is totally up my alley.
Definitely a dark romance (breath play, non-con) and she manages to make both FMC and MMC Likeable and funny.
Troy Duran's voice is the deepest most incredible listen.

Great narration, too much spice

The repetitive long winded spicy scenes detracted from the story. The duel narration was great, but I found myself bored by all the S scenes.

Best narration I’ve heard in a long while

Great story line, loved that the narrators spoke their gender parts rather than baring a man try to talk like a woman and vise versa. All books should be narrated like this.
