Publisher's Summary

He’s a good man having a bad day with the worst hangover.

All Bunny McGarry wants is a spot of breakfast and a decent cup of tea. So imagine how annoyed he gets when two masked men attempt to rob the New York diner he is in. Unfortunately, dealing with that problem just leads to a whole lot more. One of the diner’s other customers isn’t who she appears to be, and the odds aren’t great that she is going to live to see another breakfast.

So just how much trouble is she in?

Well, you know how they’re always telling us to pay attention to our pensions? Some ex-employees of the US government are really taking that advice to heart by using their mayhem-creating abilities to maximise their investments. When one of their fund managers has a momentary crisis of conscience and confesses all to a woman he hardly knows, they will stop at nothing to deal with the problem. Amy Daniels is in big trouble and the only thing keeping her alive is a man who is supposed to already be dead.

Disaster Inc., is the first book in a new series featuring Bunny McGarry, beloved by those who enjoyed the critically-acclaimed Dublin Trilogy of books. It melds high-octane action with a distinctly Irish acerbic wit.

All you want and more

I was hooked on the Dublin trilogy from the very first moment and the rest is history.
I adore the characters, the wit, the incredibly funny turn of phrase, the great pace.
To cap it all off, Morgan C Jones really brings all Bunny books alive, his narration is simply irresistible, accents and all.
One of the best books I have read/listened to in ages. Please, keep them coming!

Great story, terrible accent.

Terrible Irish accent, but the story was great and the rest of the narration was great.

Excellent!

I have to admit to being slightly biased at this point as I’ve read all the books so far (and love them) and wait impatiently for the release of each audiobook. The stories are interesting and engaging and the characters are wonderful! This book introduces new characters and the new setting of New York which I was somewhat hesitant about since I have grown to love the characters in the Dublin Trilogy, but I needn’t have worried. Trust in Mr. McDonnell’s considerable talent as a writer and Morgan C. Jones wonderful voice work to draw you in and provide a truly enjoyable experience. Loved it!

Narrator-arrrgghhh

Fun story but the narration is agony. The Irish protagonist, and hero, sounds like a demented leprechaun with a mouthful of drano and marbles. The 3 idiot financial guys are from Ohio but talk with ridiculous new jersey gangster accents. I love the Bunny McGarry character but the narrator ruined it for me. Need to read all of McDonnell books in book form. Darn

Chaotic and oh,so tedious!!

What starts out as chaotic fun soon devolves into chaotic tedium. I wanted to quit, but, alas, I never do.

I love Bunny

I really look forward to these books and I need lots more. The narration is perfection (give it a moment whilst you get used to Bunny’s dulcet tones).

Laugh out loud, edge of your seat writing. Thanks Caimh!

My favourite series of audiobooks ever

I'm so pleased to have found this series of audiobooks. It's unusual to find exciting books like these that have a lighter side as well. The writing is brilliant & the characters original. Bunny, especially, gets better with each book. The narrator makes the characters so real that it's amazing that one man can do all the different voices. I am so looking forward to the audio version of the latest book.

The narration adds a whole lot more to the book

I’ve read all the books and it is once again a fantastic, laugh out loud story. This is the only series of books where I have also purchased all the audio versions. Even in my head I can’t read it as well as Morgan C Jones.

Just Brilliant....

I’ve loved all the books so far but this one is most definitely my favorite. Thought I might need to purchase a box of Tenaladies I was laughing so much. The bit spoofing the lethal weapon 2 South African embassy scene is pure genius.

Another Great Bunny Caper

This is an excellent book filled with memorable characters, great action and superb narration. I loved the New York location and Bunny as fish out of water set up some great scenes. Bunny should have his own TV series but who could play him as well as Morgan C Jones reads him? Looking forward to the next one.

Bunny fantastic

Great series of audio books,I will say this book isn't as good as the Dublin trilogy but still a fantastic listen, the bunny sagas really show when you have great stories and a brilliant narrator the final production is aways just a pleasure to listen to from the beginning to the end , I can honestly say this series of books is one of best I've ever heard 5 out 5 in every aspect, just fecking amazing

Another well performed humourous yarn

Morgan C. Jones does an excellent performance with a slightly wider and more more demanding range of characters. Several times sorts of American voices join McGarry's Cork drawl.

The story is another funny and fast moving plot. An element of thriller and comedy that, as I listened, brought to mind Some Like it Hot. I don't know why.

Characters are McDonnell's strong point. Even background extras are given depth. I am sure if the McGuffin was examined it might evaporate. But there is enough solidity to justify the shenanigans that occur.

And what shenanigans. Worthy of an Ealing Comedy. All in all I enjoyed this work.

Does anybody proof these

What is a great story and great narration is once again ruined by sloppy editing. So many chapters and paragraphs have half or a full word missing. It’s infuriating.
