Publisher's Summary

Her time is over.

Things are looking up.

She's dirty and ugly.

He's wicked but handsome.

Six months to toy with her.

Six months of vacation and a ton of money.

I'll hurt her beyond repair.

I've been through much worse.

She's difficult to control and doesn't obey.

I'm done submitting to anyone or anything in this life.

I should hate her.

I should hate him.

The game has changed.

I will win.

Dirty Ugly Toy is a novel that blurs the lines of right and wrong, deals with abuse, contains dubious consent, and adult subject matter. If you are sensitive to violent sexual situations, the book may not be suitable for you. Some parts of this book are not easy to hear and are not intended for everyone. However, those that keep an open mind and stick with it will not be disappointed.

AMAZING!

I decided to pop my audio book cherry with this one and I absolutely LOVED IT! I felt like it was a completely new book (I've read it) and I felt like everything just intensified tenfold..The voices, the expressions. Omg I loved this so much!

Dark, emotional, and loving

This story was definitely dark and disturbing. Right up my alley. The narrator did a fabulous job of the male character however, performing the female and the accent, not so successful. It put me off quite a bit in the beginning. I almost quit listening 20 minutes in but as I got more captured by the story I was hooked. It was an easy listen. It was nice to see the strength in the female character. The author did a good job of explaining and sharing the backgrounds and the reason why the characters are who they are and do what they do. It was emotional, intense, and deep down, loving. The ending was beautiful. The epilogue was the best part and put a smile on my lips. In the end, I was a happy listener.

My Two Pennies

Braxton surly loves his toys, he enjoys taking them from the dirty ugly environments they're currently surrounding themselves with and transforming them into his most prized possessions but for a maximum of six months. To be brought back throughout the book to his childhood it starts to make sense as to why he's the man he is today. Things start to be shaken up within and round him though with his newest toy. I love a dark dirty read and K. Webster did not disappoint. Loved this story from beginning to the very end. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Absolute FAVE

This books is one of my absolute favorites. The narrator nailed the voice for Braxton pretty damn well. Very pleased and now sad that it's over.

Gripping from start to finish!

I honestly bought this book on recommendation only. I had not read the description or anything. A friend said buy, so I bought. I was not disappointed. WOW What a twisted, wonderful tale!!! I don't want to give anything away so I can't say much, but gripping/wonderfully disturbing/captivating should about cover it. The only thing that would have made this any better would have been a female co-narrator, but the make narrator did fantastic. I will be recommending this one!!!

100x better than 50 Shades

This book was dark, sensual, and well written. The plot is deep and well rounded. 50 shades is "vanilla" in comparison.

Wow...that was intense...

Best book I've listened to in a long while. The warnings are right, this is not for those who get offended or may have triggers to violent sexual situations; however if you are up for the intensity of this book- then you will understand the characters motivations by the end. I'm not even sure what else to put in this review because it was so good but I don't want to give anything away. You really have to experience it for yourself, but I definitely recommend if you are looking for something that will twist your mind and make you fall in love with the hero that you want to resist in every way.

Pygmalion Dark

Yes, it's the My Fair Lady of dark romance. Braxton sees himself as evil, he finds girls that he can make into his "toy" and then after he's tires of playing, he callously disposes of them, he's done this nineteen times and then he chooses Jessica as number twenty.

Jessica is addicted to drugs and will do anything for that next fix and Braxton makes her an offer she can't refuse.

Braxton is a brutal taskmaster making her quit drugs cold turkey and then sets about remaking her from the ground up. But Jessica is much more than she seems and Braxton's obsession with restoring her is deeply rooted in his troubled childhood.

I really liked this audiobook! Some parts were a little far fetched, but not ridiculously so. Yes this book is dark, has bdsm elements, deals with drug abuse and has dubious consent, so if you have triggers, you probably should stay far away from this book. But if you're like me and not phased by difficult subject matter, this book is a gem, has the HEA and no dreaded cliffhanger, yippee!

Now onto the narrator, sigh… It’s a love/hate thing, when he's narrating from Braxton POV he’s wonderful… Except when Braxton’s yelling, I literally had to pull my earphones off! But the problem is his narration of Jessica, his English accent for her is all over place and his reading of her is somewhat screechy. Still overall he did a decent job.

Buy or credit it's worth it.

A great book made better

I have read this book and absolutely loved it, so when it popped up on audio, I scooped it up right away.

Yes, it is graphic, seedy, risqué and dirty but things are not always what they seem and sometimes things that are ugly on the outside, are seriously beautiful on the inside.

I love Brax and Jessica. This books speaks to soul mates and finding that one true love. It is so gripping and intriguing that you will find yourself not being able to turn off and when you do have to turn it off, you are thinking about it.

Steven Barnett is genius. I was worried without there being dual pov, that it would come across as cheesy. But Steven has a better chick voice than a lot of female narrators. I can't imagine that because of the content, it was easy to read and he did an amazing job.

Wow! What a ride!

I love the K Webster's mind works. Like a roller coaster, she'll twist and turn the story until you think you've had enough then shift direction so fast you'll need to take a breath before you can go on. This book was no exception. And the narration certainly adds to the experience.

Utterly Brilliant!!!

Not only is this a fantastic book. I mean it's just amazing.
I was nervous to listen incase it spoilt my version of Brax in my head. I needn't of worried.
This has to be one of my favourite Audios to date. I just loved it.
Steven Barnett has done a wonderful job at capturing the essence of Braxton Kennedy. I love the deep rumble of the voice it suited Brax perfectly. When he did the Shouting parts that Brax is so famous for, I was a gonna.
So much so I found myself rewinding certain parts just to hear them again. Great job.
I can't recommend this Audio enough. Just see for yourself how good it really is. You won't be disappointed.
