Boring And Horrible Narration

I don’t get it. Why do these authors think it’s not terribly boring to hear every move the male and female lead characters make. I get that they’re setting a picture so that the reader can visualize the story but holy crap, this book went way overboard in its wordiness. I skipped 6 chapters in the middle, and didn’t miss anything. The narration by Virginia Rose was whiny at best, and her male voice was lacking. The story had potential but that got lost in the very beginning. Seriously, skip this one and go read SEP’s Chicago Stars series. You’ll thank me for the recommendation.

A fun steamy read that will heat you up!

Whew! This book was fan me good while reading it and listening to it on Audible was even more steamy. There’s something about hearing the words that makes them more appealing and Virginia Rose did a great job narrating this book. Demanding billionaire Tech mogul, Blake Sterling makes the wide eyed, aspiring artist Kat Wilder an offer she would be a fool to refuse. She realizes that she is not ready for what she agrees to, but has the best interests at heart to make her decision. She tries to guard her heart while peeling the many layers of Blake back in hopes to win his heart and to be with him. This book has scandal, heartache, steamy romance, and a happily ever all wrapped up in a bow. I really liked Kat and Lizzy’s sister/mother like relationship, but I love how strong willed and independent they both are. They aren’t interested in Blake’s money even though it can help make life easier for them. Krystal does a great job at getting you to feel or experience what the character is feeling or experiencing. I definitely could feel and can relate to Kat and Blake on their feelings on losing someone they loved and the grief they both experienced. This book also makes you wish you had a Blake of your own. I definitely recommend this book and wish Dirty Boss was on Audible.

Marriage of convenience turns to love

This is the first book from this author that I have listened to and I loved it! Blake is a man that wants to marry for a very specific reason. Kat is a woman just trying to make ends meet while taking care of her sister. The two come together in a situation that shouldn’t work but the more they continue, the bigger their love grew.

Virginia Rose did an amazing job with the narration and bringing the characters to life! Definitely worth the listen.

Boy Needs Girl Needs Boy

Dirty Deal is a fake fiance romance. Kat is struggling to make ends meet while also getting her little sister off to college. Blake is the silent and broody millionnaire who propositions her to be his fake fiance. Kat quickly realizes there are many layers to Blake and can't help but fall for him. Blake is very endearing towards Kat and it's obvious from their first interaction he cares deeply for her. Now to break through emotional barriers as they learn each other's quirks and build a relationship when a lie is the foundation.

Virginia Rose did a fabulous job narrating. She was able to flow from one character to the next with emotion and each was easily distinguishable.

Satisfying listen with great narration

Crystal Kaswell's Dirty Deal has a lot more heart than the write up and title will let you think it does. Kat and Blake don't seem like the perfect matches for each other, but they really do complement each other and help each other grow out of the rut that they are in.

Arranged marriage books can sometimes be very dark and involve more sordid plots but this one does not. Yes, it is a fake-finance/arranged marriage book and Blake is looking for convenience rather than love, but he actually cares very much about Kat from the very beginning, and their relationship blossoms with mutual trust and admiration, caring, and ultimately devotion.

Virginia Rose does a great job narrating the audiobook. She really expresses the emotions of the characters well, and helps you get really into the story.

Dirty Rich Series

Dirty Deal (Dirty Rich Series Book One) is a contemporary fairytale romance with a torrent of sensual elements. This romance is told in first person pov. This is a lengthy audiobook with fortitude, turmoil and family. The characters are engaging and unalloyed.

Narrator Virginia Rose's performance was smooth and effusive, I loved it. Her inflection hit all the right sentiments in the right places. A entertaining portrayal bringing out the characters and their romance in a realistic way.

I enjoyed the storyline and the audio made it even better.

A Sexy Marriage for Hire Romp

Part fairy tale, part family drama with a leaning towards 50 Shades, this story is an enjoyable listen. Heroine is likeable. . Narration is good. Contains several detailed sex scenes

Fantastic story!

Crystal Kaswell does it again. Dirty Deal is a well-written, well-plotted, and incredibly engaging contemporary romance. After the first few sentences, I was hooked and captivated to the end. Kaswell's characters are well-developed, bold, and wholly authentic with a compelling back story, making them relatable. The storyline was fantastic, Kat and Blake's journey had it's ups, downs, and even frustrating moments and loads of steam. Kat had to deal with the trauma of losing her parents, then the responsibility of raising her sister Liz and added financial obligations. Amidst her struggles, Kat meets Blake, a successful, hot, and arrogant alpha with a lucrative proposition. He offers her a million-dollar, mortgage payments, and a scholarship for Liz in exchange to be his wife for six months. The catch is, not to fall in love. I loved how everything played out and thoroughly enjoyed Cat and Blake's journey.

Virginia Rose did an outstanding job with the narration. She captured the characters' personalities, emotions, and their connection, bringing them to life. Overall, Dirty Deal was a highly entertaining and enjoyable listen, one I'll strongly recommend.

Do fairytales come true?

Once again, Crystal Kaswell pulls me in and steals my heart. Her stories are always heartfelt and entertaining but have depth, and relevant issues being dealt with. Blake Sterling literally runs into Kat, and ends up offering her a job she just can't refuse. With bills to pay and an education starting for her sister, the offer is just too good to pass up. This modern day Cinderella story delves deeper than the prince finding his princess though. Most people think just because there is money, there is happiness and peace. We find out just how damaged and dysfunctional life really is for the Sterlings and how the average, everyday Kat has the magic to heal him. It's steamy from the beginning, and their chemistry off the charts. Parts will make you smile, cry, and frustrate you, but the journey through is so worth it! I love Blake and Kat and the deal is well worth the price.

Virginia Rose is a consummate storyteller. I love her narration and every time I listen to her, she is absolutely amazing. She brings in the perfect amount of emotion and angst, nails the steamy scenes and just makes us feel. I love her!

Dirty Deal

This was my first encounter with Crystal Kaswell’s and Virgina Rose’s work. I requested a code for review copy of this audiobook because I really like the fake relationship/maariage of convenience trope. However there were some things that didn’t work for me in this book. I enjoyed Virginia Rose as a narrator. The way she conveyed Kat’s emotions was very good. Her performance was excellent but I did discover that I really prefer dual or duet narration over single narration. Because in this book I missed the POV of Blake as in his emotions and motivation for his actions straight from the character. This caused his character to remain kinda flat for me.

Also in the story I missed some build-up and sexual tension that comes with the fake relationship trope. The characters were immediately into each other and the BDSM-light part of the relationship comes in a bit too quick for my taste as I hadn’t bougt into the attraction between the characters.

This being said I did enjoy the story and narration enough to listen to more of Kaswell’s work and Virginia Rose’s narration.

I didn't enjoy this book, but listened to the end, though I skipped through most of it, just seemed to go on and on and on and all the same thing. I felt it Needed a bit more of a gripping story line to it.

I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would

It was sizzling, and perfectly narrated, but I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would.

It was way too long. It could have definitely be much shorter, especially since there are a lot of repetitions–seriously, there’s just so many times I can read about private parts clenching. The story progresses way too slowly.

It seems denial isn’t only a river in Egypt. Blake keeps repeating he can’t love Kat, and yet, everything he does shows that he actually has strong feelings for her. And though Kat sees the signs, she prefers to believe his words. It’s a well used plot device, but again, it should take her less time to confront him and extort his admission. Or for him to realize his true feelings. Of course, as the story develops only through Kat’s point of view, we never get Blake’s inner turmoil, though it is clearly visible through his actions.

As a short erotica with a little plot, it would have been perfect. As it is, the steamy scenes are lost between repetitive conversations and plot devices that sometimes make little sense–the fact that Kat is a virgin is quickly brushed under the carpet. At least, the narration was on point and quite enjoyable.
