About this listen

THE SUNDAY TIMES NUMBER ONE BESTSELLER

You never know who's watching . . .

Every Monday evening, six people gather in a smart North London house to talk about addiction. There they share their deepest secrets: stories of lies, regret, and above all, shame.

Then one of them is killed - and it's clear one of the circle was responsible.

Detective Inspector Nicola Tanner quickly finds her investigation hampered by the strict confidentiality that binds these people and their therapist together. So what could be shameful enough to cost someone their life?

And how do you find the truth when denial and deception are second nature to all of your suspects?

Full of betrayal, deceit and suspense, Die of Shame is the spectacular thriller from Sunday Times bestseller Mark Billingham.

Engaging book with good narration but let down by an ending which seemed as though author had run out of puff

Good except ending

I had the murderer all wrong which annoyed me . The story is constructed well with plenty of distractions from the guilty. It is wrapped up well. A very satisfying murder mystery

Guilty ?

I could not recommend this book. The story is incredible, the characters are wooden and incredible, and the narration does not improve matters.

Struggled with it, just wasn't my type of book. Narrative did not help. I could see it grabbing some readers who like group therapy.

Didn't finish

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

Seventy odd chapters but it started getting tiresome long before that. The detectives in the story were somewhat of a non event and, there was no end. It just stopped. It was like the writer had nowhere to go and didn't know how to finish the story.

No Ending
