Hinter A.F. Morland verbirgt sich der im Jahre 1939 in Wien geborene Fritz Tenkrat. Nach einer vielseitigen Karriere, von der Ausbildung zum Setzer bis hin zum Korrektor für die Süddeutsche unter anderem, beschloss Morland in 1969 sich auch als Autor zu versuchen. Offensichtlich erfolgreich, wenn man einen Blick auf seine mehr als 1300 Heftromane und Taschenbücher mit einer Welt-Gesamtauflage von rund 45 Millionen Exemplaren und auf seine ca. 2000 Illustriertenromane wirft. Zudem war er auch in den Genres Erotik, Kurzkrimis und Reports aktiv. Er ist nunmehr seit über fünfzig Jahren glücklich mit seiner Frau Anna verheiratet und hat zwei Kinder, sowie fünf Enkelkinder.
