Bilhildis war die Tochter eines angesehenen Frankengrafen mit Namen Iberich; ihre Eltern waren beide dem königlichen Hause Dagoberts verwandt; sie wurde geboren in dem Ort, den man heutzutage Veitshöchheim nennt, und es trug sich zu, dass sie, obwohl ihre Eltern Christen waren, das Sakrament der Taufe nicht empfing, weil die landverderblichen Hunnen durch ihre Einfälle den Christenglauben fast ganz vertilgt und alle Priester getötet oder zur Flucht gezwungen hatten.
Ludwig Bechstein (* 24. November 1801 in Weimar; † 14. Mai 1860 in Meiningen) war ein deutscher Schriftsteller, Bibliothekar, Archivar und Apotheker. Er ist heute vor allem durch die von ihm herausgegebene Sammlung deutscher Volksmärchen bekannt.
