Hund Popcorn hat sich die Pfote verletzt. Er kommt zur Pflege zu Opa Ole in die Tierstation. Der kleine Hund macht seinem Namen alle Ehre. So wie Popcorn in der Pfanne liebt er es herumzuspringen und zu toben. Paula, Nicky, Merle und Tim wollen Popcorn beim Stillhalten helfen. Sie setzen ihn in den Puppenwagen und zeigen ihm so den Sonnenscheinhof. Als Jack, der Hofhund, den kleinen Hund entdeckt, rennt er sofort auf ihn zu. Die Kinder stellen sich schützend vor Popcorn, merken aber schnell, dass Jack sehr gut weiß, wie er Popcorn trösten kann.
