Er lebt mit seiner Familie als freier Schriftsteller und Universitätsdozent für Literatur in Teheran.Er hat zahlreiche Erzählungen, mehrere Romane, Drehbücher und Theaterstücke aber auch Dutzende von literaturkritischen sowie politischen Essais verfasst.
