Die Verwandlung ist eine surreale Erzählung voller Symbole und Gleichnisse. Es ist verblüffend, wie detailliert, ideenreich und realistisch Franz Kafka die absurde Welt des in einen Käfer verwandelten Handelsreisenden beschreibt und dabei eine unverwechselbare tragikomische Atmosphäre erzeugt.
