Das kleine Stück Land wirkt völlig normal. Ein bescheidener Rückzugsort für Ruth und ihren Mann, um der Hektik Londons zu entfliehen. Bis es aufhört, in England zu regnen. Eine unerklärliche Dürre befällt das Land. Nur auf dem winzigen Besitz von Ruth regnet und wächst es. Langsam nimmt der Hass auf das grüne Fleckchen Erde und seine Bewohner zu. Mit "Die Quelle" beschert uns Catherine Chanter ein wahrhaft außergewöhnliches Hörbuch.
