Er beginnt seine Familie zu vergessen und auch Iris. Im Frühling nimmt Iris an, dass Karl tot sei, doch die Vögel glaubten das nicht, und so begibt sie sich auf eine lange Suche. Wird sie ihren Karl jemals wiederfinden?
