Publisher's Summary

Only one woman has ever refused him...and she's the only one he wants.

Now that he's successful beyond his wildest dreams with his band Oblivion, Simon Kagan is happy to enjoy his all-access pass to the groupie train. After getting more fists in the ribs than hugs growing up, he discovers having a warm female in his bed is an easy way to escape the loneliness.

Until Margo.

From the moment the classy, buttoned up violinist entered his sphere, he knew she was different. After one amazing night in the studio, he feels like he's finally connected with someone on a deeper level - only to have her walk away without a backward glance.

As a member of the Boston Symphony orchestra, Margo Reece's life revolves around the regimented structure of a second chair violinist. But Simon's uncanny ability to crawl into a song and create a smoky, sin-filled experience translated into the hottest night of her life. She walked away afterward because that's what she was supposed to do.

And Margo always does what she's supposed to.

Until Simon.

When she's called on again to blend her sound with Oblivion's, she has to make the decision to play it safe or let her wild side free.

4 or 5 stars go down to 1

If you like being cheated and left on a cliffhanger so you'll buy the next book go ahead and read this. I was going to give it four or five stars till they did that. And I was going to buy the next book anyway - in fact I may already have, I really liked these writers. But they have left a nasty taste, actually an incomplete book, and with no warning. They are out of integrity on this one point and I would like them to fix it and reissue the book.

I WAS LOST IN OBLIVION OVER THIS HOT ROMANCE

I've loved all these sexy Rockers but Super Slut Simon is in a league of his own - because he wants to be good - to give it a try with Margo, wants a more meaningful relationship and wants to get over the constant faceless nameless women that desire nothing more than sex and bragging rights. But Margo keeps running away from him despite their hot sexual chemistry and intense sexual activities and it's frustrating the Hell out of him because he feels their connection and knows that this is different... and could lead to so much more.

All through Margo's family there's never been a successful partnership so she doesn't know how to handle the feelings she gets when she's around the super bad, super sexy and super charismatic Lead Singer of Oblivion. She's lived a sheltered life of a child prodigy - always being told what to do and what not to do by her cold hearted Mother which also included her many failings so she's shy, insecure and reserved. However, being around Oblivion and especially Simon awakens hidden talents, hidden desires, and hidden dreams.... but dare she take the risk and put her trust and her future in Simon... and in Oblivion? And how long will Simon remain interested in her?

This was everything that I expected and so so much more - intense feelings, hot sex, a God of a Rocker and an addictive push/pull relationship that frustrated the Hell out of me. I expected the cliffhanger ending because of the previous reviews and I'm looking forward to book 3.5. B U T I'm so sick of Authors/Publishers or whomever is responsible for continuing to break stories up like this - it's not necessary, it's not nice and it's not bloody appreciated. All through this (and many other) Series there have been .5 additions to incomplete stories - PLEASE PLEASE give us, your fans, WHOLE books that we can relish, enjoy and come away with that 'feel good' feeling instead of ripping us off and forcing us to spend more money if we want to hear how the story ends for characters we've grown to love.

Worth a credit? A very enjoyable story, great characters and the narration was great- so YES creditworthy.... I just wish I didn't have to use another one to hear the whole story.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

First of all, I thoroughly enjoy the narrators - they are by far the best I've heard, and as a duo it makes the books they narrate much more enjoyable. This is another installment of the Oblivion series, which is funny, sexy, and erotic. We get to enjoy the characters from pervious books in addition to the main story line.

If you’ve listened to books by Taryn Elliott and Cari Quinn before, how does this one compare?

This book is a good addition to the series - I wanted more on Margo. I am not sure I really care about Simon. I loved the first book the best. Harper and Deacon were just a big ole roller coaster ride. We got lots of back story with them. Margo's family is still a mystery, and I'm not as into Simon and Margo as I was for Harper and Deacon, and who doesn't love Pix (Gray not so much).

Have you listened to any of Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Great performance - I truly love how this duo interacts - they weave the story together, unlike other duos - where the man reads the mans chapters and the woman narrates the females.Ross and Kennicott mix and mingle - If Pix is laughing when Deacon is talking, you get female laughter and male talking. Kai Kennicott's narration is my 2nd favorite male narrator. (My favorite is MacLeod Andrews)

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I didn't have an extreme reaction at all. Yes I got teary, but I feel I still dont know the characters well enough to care much about them. Yes I want to know where the Cliffhanger will lead.

Simon!!!!

What made the experience of listening to Destroyed the most enjoyable?

The writing combined with the amazing narration of Kai Kennicott and Wen always makes for fantastic read. I absolutely love this series!

What other book might you compare Destroyed to and why?

Michelle Mankin's Tempest series, which is also narrated by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross.

Which character – as performed by Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott – was your favorite?

I loved both the main characters. Simon is smokin' hot and I loved how Margo finally broke out of her shell.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, the ending had me stunned! And some parts broke my heart.

Any additional comments?

I cannot wait to listen to the next book. In fact, I have already purchased and downloaded it. This series is addictive. I can't get enough of Taryn Elliot and Cari Quinn. Top that with the sexy narration of Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross and you have a perfect storm of complete hotness.

Simon & Margo Rocked

Would you listen to Destroyed again? Why?

Yes, I would listen to this story again and again because Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott wrote an awesome story and series. I really enjoyed Simon and Margo's story and Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross rocked as usual.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Even though Destroyed was Simon and Margo's story, my favorite of the series is Jazz. I just love her because she's been through so much in her young life but doesn't let things get her down. She loves and supports the people around her and her joy is infectious.

What about Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott ’s performance did you like?

I just love the way they narrate the story and they bring different emotions and personality to each of the characters. They bring the story and characters to life for me.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The scene where Simon collapsed and chaos erupted around him.

3/4 of a story

Wow, no fair! I'm a fan of the Oblivion series but didn't appreciate the ending of Destroyed. This is 3/4 of a book. If you would like to know how this story turns out you will be forced to buy the next installment. Not cool.

Hot Chemistry!

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. I love these authors. Once again they have captured my attention and imagination with their creative and talented story. Margo and Simon are 2 very talented people but each holds demons that haunt them. Margo an extremely talented violinist is finding a new outlet with Simon's band. Their sexual chemistry is blazingly hot. I like how the authors make Margo feel that Simon, the man of one night stands, is the perfect one to relieve her sexual desires. Guess we know where that is headed but it won't happen quickly. Oblivion is so successful that more concerts are added to their already packed schedule until......

I am a big fan of these narrators' artistic talents. They put their hearts and souls into this book. They bring out the personalities and emotions of these characters and give them distinctive voices. You can feel the longings and elations of Simon and Margo. Wen and Kai bring the story to life. They allow you to relax and enjoy.

I want to say that this book ends on a cliffhanger. I really feel that the listener/reader deserves to know this beforehand. Luckily I have the next audiobook or I would not have been happy. Otherwise if the next book doesn't come out for months later I have forgotten and usually don't get it.

Simon and his violin girl

Simon Kagan is at his happiest as lead singer for the rock band Oblivion. From the concerts to the interviews and recordings, he loves everything about his rock family and the music they create. But no amount of groupies can make him forget violin girl and their sexy time when first recording Becoming.
Margo Reese is excited at the opportunity to play some private shows with Oblivion to promote their newest album. Margo has recorded with them again as her second job of recording studio musician is now her primary source of income. She’s sad about being released as second violin for the Boston Philharmonic but playing with Oblivion has excited her about the new chapter in her life. Simon is just the man to work with Margo on exploring her new life opportunities. But is he prepared for his own challenges?
Kennicott and Ross do a good job of narration but I could wish for fewer mispronunciations, and less pushing his higher register on his text narration.
