2023 AUDIBLE REVIEW
Very enjoyable in audible.
Such a sad and tragic situation but it makes for a great story.
Poor Dorian. She will live with this burden for the rest of her life.
Did enjoy Mavis stepping up and calling Dorian out for her rudeness.
BOOK REVIEW 2022
Nasty topic well dealt with.
I read this soon after it first came out but I cannot find a posted review which is very unlike me. I believe I wanted to think about it first before writing.
No hardship to reread as I believe this to be one of the better stories.
Though dealing with an extremely unpleasant subject, we get everybody we love involved, plus some new faces/names.
This nasty topic brings hard memories to the surface for Eve, as expected, but is lifted throughout with their typical one line humour between Eve and Peabody, and support and love from those surrounding her.
Getting the update on the house renovations was lovely.
And Mavis stepping up as she does, very enjoyable.
Unfortunately, I am pretty sure those who profit from sexual slavery and human trafficking nowadays get away with it, far more than get caught and punished.
Glad the child protection services officer got her comeuppance, and those who made a living by being despicable excuses for human beings will be made to pay.
I just thoroughly enjoyed the way the whole story was put together and dealt with, due to the selfless actions of one young girl saving another.
I would love to believe that this outcome could happen in real life.

I love all the Eve Dallas books. They can be a little the same but that is why I love them. I know I will be entertained, a little horrified and she always gets her man! Love the voices my Susan. Great read

The over the top arrogance and rudeness of Eve takes some of the enjoyment out of the book for me.
If the storylines weren’t so good, I would have stopped buying these books long ago.
