Die Malerin Ludovike Simanowiz wuchs in Ludwigsburg gemeinsam mit Friedrich Schiller und dessen Schwestern auf. Insbesondere mit Christophine verband sie immer eine gute Freundschaft. Obwohl es nicht die gesellschaftliche Norm war, schlug die junge Frau eine künstlerische Laufbahn ein. Durch ihre Heirat musste Ludovike zwischen der Kunst und ihrer Ehe balancieren und einige schwierige Zeiten meistern.
Utta Keppler (1905-2004) wurde als Tochter eines Pfarrers in Stuttgart geboren und wuchs dort auf. Sie besuchte die Stuttgarter Kunstakademie bis Sie die Meisterreife erreichte. 1929 heiratete sie und hat vier Söhne. Sie arbeitete frei bei Zeitungen und Zeitschriften und schrieb mehrere biographische Romane, meist über weibliche historische Persönlichkeiten, für welche sie ein intensives Quellenstudium betrieb.
