Vom Museumsdirektor erfahren sie von einem Buch mit Holzumschlag, in dem eine Schatzkarte aufgezeichnet sein soll. Berni, Flo und Bine sehen sich das Buch und die Karte genau an und begeben sich tags darauf auf die Burgruine Scharfenstein, wo sich ein Schatz befinden soll. Sie suchen in einer Höhle und merken, dass dies auch schon ein anderer Mann vor hat. Diesen Mann haben sie doch schon im Museum gesehen! Und unlängst wurde doch das Buch samt Schatzkarte gestohlen! Die drei befinden sich mitten in einem spannenden Abenteuer!
