Jeden Monat spielt der Frühschoppen ein neues, aktuelles Programm, jede Woche gibt es Sonntags Mittags ab 13 Uhr eine frische Vorstellung. Fünf Kerle und Frau Schmidt, wie Thomas Pigor und der Ulf sie in ihrer eigens für dieses Sonntagsvergnügen geschriebenen Titelmusik nennen, das sind: Hinark Husen, Hans Duschke, Sarah Schmidt, Jürgen Witte, Horst Evers, Andreas Scheffler.

Öffentliches trifft hier auf Privates. Vermeintlich provokantes Weltgeschehen entpuppt sich, bar des darum gemachten Mediengeheuls, urplötzlich als Banalität. Und in den meist privaten Geschichten, die die Autoren dann vortragen, da offenbart sich häufig eine andere Sicht dieser Welt. Eine ganz eigene, sehr alltägliche, die keiner Zeitung je eine Schlagzeile wert wäre. Ein Leben zwischen Aufstehen und Zubettgehen, wo die Frühjahrsonne zum Fensterputz ruft, wo Billigflieger nach Luton locken wollen und wo Berliner S-Bahnen gradewegs ins Grauen entführen.
