En dödsolycka inträffar i centrala Uppsala. En kvinna slungas ut ur en bil efter en olycka och avlider på sjukhus. Poliserna Kenneth Klintman och Lisa Norén börjar nysta i fallet och snart står det klart att det antingen rör sig om vållande till annans död eller rent av mord.
